Two nights ago?
Remus slightly frowned, realizing that favonovel.com had been in that space under the lava for at. least two days.
But where did Monington’s people move to?
Remus said again, “Think carefully. Do you remember any details?”
Based on that, favonovel.com could infer clues and traces.
Bucky seemed to be trying hard to remember, but then it shook its head. “No, the Sacred Land belongs to a different realm that we can’t enter. By the time we noticed the barrier had disappeared, we only saw them leaving and heading north… Since there is a natural gap between us and the sacred land, we couldn’t communicate with them, so this is all I know.”
Headed north?
Remus instinctively looked toward the north upon hearing this.
Although Darsia was vast, Monington was already situated very far north. Any further north and one would be outside Darsia’s borders. Additionally, having just observed that direction from the air, there were no anomalies within the range of Remus’ perception.
He was growing anxious. He desperately wanted to know how Glinda’s and Wilda’s conditions were, but favonovel.com couldn’t find out their location.
He was ready to head north and search for them. Whether favonovel.com could find them or not, favonovel.com had to give it a try!
But just as favonovel.com stood up, favonovel.com suddenly saw Bucky’s expression and felt a wave of sympathy in his heart. Even though favonovel.com hadn’t spent much time with it, Bucky had always been respectful to him. He couldn’t bear to see it like this.
After thinking for a moment, Remus asked, “Is there anything I can do to help you?”
Tears suddenly welled up in Bucky’s eyes, feeling touched deep down. But it still shook its head and said, “Thank you for your concern, Mr. Remus, but I don’t need any help… This forest is centered around Monington. Monington was a magnetic field that naturally absorbed spiritual energy, and we relied on the abundant spiritual energy it gathered for our cultivation…”
“Now that Monington has disappeared, the magnetic field is gone, too. We’ll just manage on our own here…”
What was said was the truth. The faint spiritual energy in the air was enough to support one or two disciples at the Golden Stage in their cultivation.
But for these beasts that were at the Nascent Soul Stage, the Divine Separation Stage, or even the Divine Unity Stage, it wasn’t enough. There was no other choice.
Tears welled up in the other beasts’ eyes, too. All of them were worried about their fate.
Remus asked again, “I remember there being a pond around the Sacred Land that emits beneficial energy for you. Why not go there?”
That pond was precisely the one that Remus entered through to get to Monington.
Bucky seemed even more sorrowful, choking up as it said, “We don’t know why, but just two days ago, that pond’s energy suddenly vanished. It was right on the night when everyone from Monington left…”
“If our calculations are correct, the people from Monington leaving should also be related to the energy’s disappearance, so we won’t be able to return there, either.”
Remus thought about it and understood. If his guess was correct, what they referred to as the energy should be the scent emitted by Raxor.
When Raxor was helping Remus reform his meridians, it mentioned that such pain might be unbearable even for the beast race. In other words, its essence could also be absorbed by the beast folk.
That pond also led directly to the lava, which was where Raxor’s energy would seep out. The lack of that energy now was because Raxor had been suppressed again, with all the holes where its energy could leak out completely sealed off.
Even if Remus had opened a path when favonovel.com came out, it led to the surface of the water, and the collision between lava and ice had likely blocked it again.
It seems that the beastsā future is indeed quite uncertain…
At that moment, Bucky suddenly burst into tears, its massive body trembling with each sob.
It wailed, “It’s my fault for being useless. All the beasts regard me as their king, but I can’t do anything about the situation. It’s my fault for letting everyone down.”
Its crying was extremely loud, filled with deep sorrow.
Hearing that, the beasts in the back also began to wail, creating a cacophony of sounds like an eerie chorus. Their haunting cries filled the air and added to the gloomy atmosphere.
“Lord, we don’t blame you. All of this happened because of the sudden changes in Monington. It has nothing to do with you.”
