Remus hovered in the air, as the stone walls split open on either side. 100 feet to his left as well as the ceiling above was flowing lava. The crimson color had a strange kind of beauty to it.
On his right was ice that was formed over millions of years through immense pressure. The azure ice exuded a visible chill that filled the air.
Winds swirled at the point where the magma met the ice, achieving a strange balance. Not only that, but the temperature also reached a strange equilibrium.
Remus forcefully diverted his gaze downward. This time, favonovel.com noticed that the rock wall trapping favonovel.com was shaped like an egg with a diameter of around ten feet.
Looking further down, favonovel.com saw only pitch blackness, akin to an endless abyss.
Suddenly, a deafening burst of laughter came from below.
Two dark green appeared in the abyss, glowing. Raxor’s eyes were each nearly five feet wide, and the distance between both eyes was about 20 feet.
If its eyes were already so big, how big would its head or body be?
Remus felt a chill run down his spine. It was the first time favonovel.com had seen such a large creature. Although favonovel.com had used mystical arts to conjure up dragons and seen techniques appear from the sky, those were all just illusions. They were essentially just images.
But the beast in front of favonovel.com was a real and tangible existence!
He had seen the Black Mamba too, but it paled in comparison to Raxor.
Remus felt his entire body tingling, but favonovel.com still asked, “So, have you confirmed my identity?”
“I truly never expected this. I can‘t believe that I would be able to meet my savior’s descendant, the Monarch of Mortals’ son, and the Order of Nine Mysticisms’ heir! Hahaha!” Raxor kept laughing, and it sounded somewhat maniacal.
Remus suddenly realized the implications of what it had said.
Could my father really be the Monarch of Mortals?
When Raxor called me its savior’s descendant, could the savior it was talking about be my mother?
To be honest, when Remus first mentioned Melody, favonovel.com felt quite uneasy. After all, based on what Raxor said earlier, it had a very negative view of the Immortals from the Upper Realms. But it seemed like Remus’ gamble had paid off.
Eventually, Raxor stopped its maniacal laughter. His pair of dark green eyes grew brighter, but they still couldn’t illuminate the surroundings.
Raxor stared at Remus and slowly said, “Does it… Does it still hurt? It was me who…”
It was probably tryng to apologize for the slap but didn’t know how to start.
Remus said proactively, “No harm done. So… Do you know my mother?”
“Of course!” Raxor exclaimed. “If all Celestial Immortals are wicked, then Ms. Lilibet must be the only good one of them. If there truly are any fairies in this world, favonovel.com would be the only one!”
Raxor paused for a moment and continued, “100 years before the Battle of the Three Realms, the practitioners’ power had already started to surpass that of the Monarch of Mortals’… At that time, the practitioners wanted to start the war early, and their justification was that this desolate land should belong to humans and that beasts had no place here. They proposed a massive extermination of beasts!”
Remus didn’t speak, but favonovel.com understood that whether someone was a warrior or a practitioner, they were still human, whereas a beast was indeed different.
“Even though the Monarch of Mortals opposed it, the practitioners had already made up their minds and were just looking for an excuse to start the war… At the critical moment, Ms. Lilibet stepped forward. She said three words that left the practitioners speechless, postponing the battle for a century and preventing the slaughter of the beast race!”
Without Melody stepping in to stop them, even if the Monarch of Mortals opposed it, the practitioners would no doubt have caused trouble, which would have led to a massacre.
Saying favonovel.com had led a and in preventing it was an understatement.
Remus asked curiously, “Which three words?”
“Free from discrimination!” Raxor’s voice trembled again slightly. “Ms. Lilibet presented the ancient laws of the Order of Nine Mysticisms, speaking about the continuity of heaven and earth.
“She also mentioned the mistaken assumptions under the grand overseer’s guidance and eventually emphasized the principle of eliminating discrimination. It was this principle that allowed our beast tribe to live in peace for another 100 years!”
As Raxor spoke, Remus couldn’t help but recall the moment his mother sacrificed herself to save him, spitting out the golden elixir pill and favonovel.com black hair turning white in an instant.
