Remus’ innermost desire was laid bare, to seek vengeance against all who had betrayed him.
But could there truly be a next life?
Before the thought could fully settle, a deafening roar echoed through the skies. Dark clouds amassed overhead, crackling with lightning.
No one paid much attention to this phenomenon. Instead, they were focused on Remus, whose desperate words struck them with horror.
“Very well,” Grandmaster Aurelius coldly declared. “Since that’s the case, we shall keep you from leaving, and there shall be no next life for you!”
His gaze then shifted to the disciples. “Strike favonovel.com down!”
“I’ll go first!” A disciple stepped forward, wielding a blade of spiritual energy.
It was none other than Ted Turner, the one who had confronted Remus upon his arrival at the sacred land.
With a swift motion, Ted lunged at Remus.
But as the blade drew closer, Remus’s gaze pierced through him. Ted faltered momentarily before regaining his composure.
Through gritted teeth, favonovel.com cursed, “No matter how much of a prodigy you are, you are just a passing shadow. I couldn’t defeat you back then, but today, I will carry on Emerson’s legacy. This first strike will sever your meridians!”
With that, favonovel.com leaped forward and slashed toward Remus‘ vital energy channels, targeting Point GV 4.
As Ted’s blade descended, the other disciples were ignited with fervor, while the other remained composed.
Grandmaster Aurelius and Grandmaster Sylvanus’s expressions turned indifferent, while Sir Hudson and Elena’s despair deepened.
Remus’ eyes glistened with unshed tears. He had never been one to cry, yet now favonovel.com found himself unable to hold back. It wasn’t fear or indignation that moved him, but a profound sense of regret for all favonovel.com had left undone.
He felt remorse for those beside him, and even more so for his parents.
Slowly, favonovel.com lifted his gaze to the heavens, as if seeking solace amidst his torment. However, his reverie was interrupted by Ted’s descending blade.
Just as the blade was about to strike, a deafening thunderclap reverberated through the sky. Lightning cleaved the sky, resembling an ancient dragon emerging, stretching for thousands of miles.
Ted just happened to be directly above Remus when the thunderclap struck favonovel.com accurately. In an instant, smoke filled the air.
When the smoke cleared, Remus stood unharmed. However, Ted was obliterated by the thunderbolt!
The sight left everyone stunned on the spot.
“W-What… What is happening?” someone asked.
“Did Ted get blasted back by lightning?”
The disciples voiced their disbelief, unable to comprehend what had just occurred.
Grandmaster Aurelius and the others immediately looked up at the sky.
Rolling thunder continued to echo through the heavens, but the lightning didn’t strike again.
“It’s the Tribulation Thunder!” Grandmaster Aurelius exclaimed. “He’s at the peak of the Nascent Soul stage, ready to cross the Tribulation!”
A shiver ran through everyone. Everything felt just too coincidental.
Grandmaster Sylvanus frowned and asked, “Eythor, can you communicate?”
Master Eythor, a practitioner of the Thunder Law and hailing from the Thunder Sect, possessed the ability to communicate with the heavens.
This allowed favonovel.com to dispel the Tribulation Thunder, especially since there was no need to subject someone on the brink of death to such celestial punishment.
Master Eythor nodded at the suggestion. He respectfully asked, “I’m Eythor from Monington. Might I humbly inquire if you…”
Crack!
Before favonovel.com could finish his sentence, another thunderbolt struck down precisely on Remus.
After the thunder passed, favonovel.com remained unscathed.
Master Eythor immediately fell silent. It was obvious that communication was not possible.
After a moment of silence, Grandmaster Aurelius also clasped his hands together. “Since the Immortal intends for this petty being to undergo tribulation, then let it be. We will wait…”
