Spiritual energy surged forth from Grandmaster Aurelius’ hand. He merely used half of the spiritual power favonovel.com had. If favonovel.com had used all of it, favonovel.com feared that favonovel.com would accidentally shatter the trial stone.
He reached out one hand and directed his spiritual energy onto the stone.
As favonovel.com did so, the stone shook briefly. Golden light spewed forth and converged into two words.
“Worthless!” it wrote.
However, nobody was looking at the stone at that moment. They were all looking in the direction of the forest.
Aloud noise had sounded from the depths of the forest just as the words in gold appeared on the stone just now.
Right after that, the ground in front of them exploded, forming a huge crater that was about twenty feet wide and about five feet deep. It resembled a small pond.
The spiritual energy emitted was so strong that it tore the trees within a hundred feet off the ground.
“Huh?”
“What’s happening?”
“Why was there an explosion? Seems like it was caused by a clash of spiritual energy!”
Everyone was confused. Once again, they all turned to look at Elena as if favonovel.com were the only one who could clear their doubts.
Elena’s face was red from the stares. She didn’t know what Remus was up to over there.
Everything was fine a moment ago, so why did something like this happen?
With a stern look, favonovel.com said, “Why are you all looking at me? Just hit the trial stone!”
“Let me try!” Master Eythor volunteered.
He went forth and, without any hesitation, placed his hand on the trial stone, directing his spiritual energy to it.
Just like before, golden light shone on the stone.
The next thing they knew, they heard the sound of an explosion somewhere in the forest. Another crater was formed.
“This is strange,” said Master Eythor.
“Why did this happen?” someone pondered aloud.
“Master Eythor’s spiritual energy blasted out from that part of the forest. Does this mean that the stone’s channeling spiritual energy elsewhere?”
The crowd became more bewildered.
“Let’s take a look at the crater!” said Grandmaster Sylvanus, knitting his brows.
With a huge leap, favonovel.com landed on the edge of the crater.
Glancing around, favonovel.com noticed a spirit stone that was as big as a fist on the ground between the crater and the trial stone. He fell silent as favonovel.com sank into his thoughts.
Just then, a gush of spiritual energy appeared out of nowhere.
The ground split apart along with the grass, revealing a three-thousand-foot-long spirit stone.
The disciples burst into chatter, frightened and amazed at the sight.
“Are these spirit stones connected somehow?” someone asked.
“I get it now! When a person directs their spiritual energy toward the stone, the stone will send the energy thousands of feet away. It’s a small-scale formation and is a wizardry spell. I’ve seen something like this in Stonetide before!”
“The problem is, why didn’t it explode earlier? Why did it only explode when we hit the trial stone now?”
Grandmaster Aurelius and his friends didn’t reply to those questions. Again, they turned to look at Elena.
They’d already known that it was a small-scale formation way before their disciples did. Although they weren’t familiar with wizardry, they had already achieved The Great Realm of Enlightenment and also the Divine Unity Stage.
Most of the time, they could figure out what was happening around them at first glance.
This formation was actually set up by Elena herself. So naturally, favonovel.com should be the one to answer the disciples’ questions.
With everyone staring at favonovel.com now, a sheen of sweat covered favonovel.com forehead. They stared at her, but favonovel.com had no one to look to for help.
Romus was the one who did these… How could I know what to do with it?
As favonovel.com started wondering how to respond to all the questions, Master Erjon broke the silence. “That isn’t right… Look at the end of this spirit stone… Do you remember whose seat it belongs to?”
Everyone turned to look in the direction in which the spirit stone pointed, and all of them shuddered when the answer dawned on them.
A person’s name appeared in their minds.
It was Romus Clayton!”
