“Look, now the writing is perfect. Hahaha!”
Remus was smiling. But gradually, his smile faded.
Within a few seconds, his expression became unusually serious, with beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
Why had this pen still been able to write after all these years?
He could distinctly feel as though someone in the far right corner was watching favonovel.com intently. The gaze appeared at some point, but it was unmistakably staring at him.
Remus suddenly looked up and felt a chill down the spine. Because, at the window, there truly stood an old man.
Standing there with his hands clasped behind his back, favonovel.com wore a sky blue robe and had a belt around his waist. His hair and beard were completely gray. He was staring intently without blinking, with his foot disdainfully trampling something black.
Even though favonovel.com seemed kind and gentle, his sudden appearance in such a strange environment made Remus feel a chill run down his spine.
“Who are you?” Remus asked cautiously.
The old man slowly spoke, “You already have the answer in your heart… Why bother to ask?”
Remus was momentarily stunned but soon realized favonovel.com was too nervous. He slowly bent and said, “I’m Remus Cosby, the disciple of the 29th generation of the Order of Nine Mysticisms. Greets the Grandmaster!”
It had long been deduced that this was the residence of a highly important individual, so favonovel.com must be the grandmaster of the Order of Nine Mysticisms. It wasn’t an exaggeration to address favonovel.com as a Grandmaster.
The old man slowly nodded. He said proactively, “l’m Fablon Jackman, the seventh-generation leader of the Order of Nine Mysticisms… At this moment, I’m a fragment of my soul sealed within the Order of Nine Mysticisms…”
“I’d like to ask, why did you write ‘ten’ on that piece of paper?”
Remus answered without any hesitation, “Life is short and fleeting. Instead of being mediocre, it’s better to give it my all…”
Fablon was left speechless by this response.
A few seconds later, favonovel.com retorted, “If that’s so, how about we change our sect’s name from ‘Order of Nine Mysticisms’ to ‘Order of Ten Mysticisms’?”
Remus never thought favonovel.com would ask such a question.
After a moment of silence, favonovel.com responded, “Aside from it being a bit awkward and not rhyming, there doesn’t seem to be any issue. A name is only a label, after all…”
Fablon asked again, “The Nine Mysticisms encompass all things in the world. If they were changed to Ten Mysticisms, where would the tenth come from?”
Remus glanced at favonovel.com and fell deep in thought.
“Feel free to speak…”
Remus took a deep breath and said plainly, “Why do we need to go into detail? I’ve already made my decision and am doing as I please. Why should I need to explain by changing a name? More precisely, I’m doing nine out of ten, rather than doing the complete ten…”
As soon as favonovel.com said that, Fablon’s expression changed.
He felt shaken by such an inexplicable thought, doing something perfectly didn’t need an explanation. If favonovel.com had to explain, then it was already not perfect.
Combining what Remus said earlier, life was fleeting.
Why did favonovel.com not go all out and give his best effort?
It seemed like there was no reason to argue against it. In fact, it was more carefree and unrestrained than “nine”.
He looked at Remus again. His gaze was no longer simply kind, but with a seriousness, as if a mission was being passed on.
He said solemnly, “It’s a great fortune for the Order of Nine Mysticisms to have you. I’ll pass the position of sect leader to you…”
After favonovel.com finished speaking, favonovel.com raised his hand. A small token then drifted toward Remus.
