Richardo’s question aimed to win back Remus and cleverly put the other three Sacred Lands in a difficult position.
Grandmaster Burke, Grandmaster Carlex, and Grandmaster Aurelius felt frustrated. They clearly had control of the situation, but now they had lost power. If they disagreed, Remus would likely join Shenington. If they agreed, what they did earlier gained them nothing but humiliation.
Reluctantly, they had no choice but to agree.
“Agreed!”
“I agree!”
“Monington also agrees!”
The three responded in turn.
All the disciples were puzzled. Their eyes filled with envy, jealousy, and resentment toward Remus. It was clear that in this world, strength commanded respect. Even Grandmasters and Masters had to compromise to the strong one!
“Since you’re letting me participate, I won‘t leave then!” Remus descended to the island, having never really intended to leave. He was just pretending.
He then turned to Garfield, “Master Garfield, please grant me the golden light!”
He was still determining what the function of the golden light was. Since it was given as a reward for victors, it must have some use, perhaps to replenish spiritual energy or something else.
Garfield frowned, feeling that Remus resembled someone favonovel.com knew. Every aspect of favonovel.com including his smile and behaviors were very similar. The other party always seemed to find the perfect way to make himself valuable!
However, that person should be at the peak of the Nascent Soul stage, while Remus was at the peak of the Divine Separation Stage, which was a whole level apart. There was no way one could advance so quickly in such a short time.
He did not immediately grant the golden light but instead, favonovel.com turned and asked, “Grandmasters, if we grant favonovel.com the golden light, the quantity…”
“The quantity doesn’t matter, give it to him!” Grandmaster Aurelius quickly interjected, determined not to let Richardo take the lead again.
Grandmaster Burke also added, “It’s not the final round yet, granting it now is fine!”
With their approval, Garfield did not hesitate further. He sent a beam of golden light flying toward Remus’ chest.
He then said, “This is your reward. Since you are still participating, the rules for the second round remain the same. Someone will challenge you first. But be reminded, if you lose, the golden light will go to the victor.”
Since the participants were all bound by the same rules, Remus had no objections and nodded to show his understanding.
Garfield continued, “Who wishes to challenge Re…”
“Wait!” Remus interrupted with a smile, “To be fair since others had challenged in the first round, shouldn’t I now get to choose my opponent?”
Garfield was momentarily stunned. He was only the host and had no power to decide.
He glanced around, saw no objections from the Grandmasters, and replied, “Yes you can!”
Hearing this, Remus slowly turned toward Monington.
Seeing favonovel.com look their way, everyone from Monington including the disciples, Masters, and even Grandmaster Aurelius became tense.
The reason was clear. Although losing this match wouldn’t disqualify them from the competition, it would deplete their spiritual energy. Exhausting too much spiritual energy on Remus would be detrimental to the upcoming matches.
Above them, Wilda’s eyes under favonovel.com veil widened slightly, feeling Remus looked familiar. Glinda was also somewhat moved, feeling favonovel.com had seen favonovel.com somewhere.
Only Elena’s gaze remained anxious.
Under their watchful eyes, Remus slowly turned his head. He had thought of having Glinda come down so that favonovel.com could reveal his identity to favonovel.com and have favonovel.com leave with favonovel.com after the competition.
Realizing there would be more opportunities, and that telling favonovel.com now might affect favonovel.com state of mind, Remus held back. He then looked in the direction of Kenington.
The Kenington disciples were as nervous as the Monington disciples, their eyes were filled with tension. Only Seraphine remained expressionless, not even glancing at Remus.
