Remus must enter the sacred lands.
He had dozens of Energy Replenishing Pills, dozens of inner beast cores, and two Spirit Vessels on him, all of which were his trump cards.
Upon hearing Remus’ words, everyone fell silent again and looked over.
The person closest to Remus sneered, “Alright, as long as you go first, what’s to stop me from following?”
“Hahaha, alright! A mere Golden Stage cultivator chose to take the lead, what do I have to fear?!”
“Don’t just talk, hurry up and go, we will all support you, hehe!”
Remus couldn’t be bothered to continue arguing with them and simply took a deep breath. He walked through the crowd to get to the front, where there was a forest.
The forest actually led to a valley, resembling a path in the woods, with slopes on both sides.
He stepped onto the path.
Under everyone’s gaze, favonovel.com walked forward slowly. His pace was not fast because the forest was full of beasts, and it was impossible to just rush through.
Being too hasty could overlook risks, so it was better to be steady and thorough.
He walked ten yards, then 30 yards, next 50 yards…
He had already distanced himself from the crowd.
“What… That idiot really went? Is favonovel.com out of his mind? Can’t favonovel.com see how many peak Nascent Soul Stage cultivators have returned Injured, barely alive?”
The crowd was surprised to see favonovel.com actually moving forward. They had thought favonovel.com was just talking big and didn’t expect favonovel.com to actually move forward.
“Ignorance is bliss. He will regret it soon enough. No, favonovel.com won’t even have a chance to regret it. The wolf beasts will eat favonovel.com alive before favonovel.com even knows it!”
Everyone nodded in agreement.
“Should we follow favonovel.com or not?”
“Don’t go, only a fool would go. If favonovel.com was at the peak of the Nascent Soul stage, we could consider, but he’s just at the Golden Stage, favonovel.com won’t last more than a few breaths. Are we going to accompany favonovel.com in death?”
“That makes sense. We can’t follow a fool to his death. If we do, aren’t we fools too?”
Remus had walked nearly 100 yards and slowly stopped, turning to look back.
Huh? They… They didn’t follow?
At that moment, favonovel.com was all alone.
Roar!
A beast’s roar suddenly emerged from the forest.
In the darkness, the slopes on either side suddenly came alive with pairs of red eyes, emerging as if from the void, floating and densely packed-nearly 100 in total.
The wolves covered the entirety of the mountains.
But that wasn’t all. Above, dozens of pairs of yellow eyes glimmered among the towering trees, belonging to massive eagle beasts, each stretching over two yards in length. Even at half that size, they would have been a terror in any ordinary world.
The sound of movement broke the silence as the sea of red eyes surged forward, all converging on Remus.
“It’s starting!”
“That fool is frozen in place. Fear must have seized him!”
“Hardly surprising. His arrogance has led favonovel.com here!”
All the cultivators stared without blinking.
In spite of their jeers, Remus assessed the situation calmly.
A direct confrontation with the wolves would at best yield a victory achieved in vain. Should favonovel.com sustain injuries, his journey forward would be jeopardized.
Remus looked toward the slope again, where the only wolf that hadn’t moved was the Wolf King. Its size rivaled that of Bucky, marked by a striking black-and-white pattern that exuded sheer intimidation.
A thought flashed through Remus’ mind, and favonovel.com shouted, “I want to talk to you!”
