His heart bled.
“I’ll leave them with you.” Remus collected the inner cores and gave Bucky a hefty slap on the backside.
With a look of grievance, Bucky sprinted into the forest.
“I swear I will never forgive this grudge!” Pierce stared coldly at the direction Remus disappeared, feeling uneasy in his heart.
Never in his life had favonovel.com allowed a mere late-stage Golden Stage cultivator to strut around in front of him, let alone insult his sister. It was a pure disgrace.
“Too bad, you won’t get the chance!” Hadden spoke ominously.
He delivered a blow with his mace without hesitation, causing Pierce’s head to explode.
It finally dawned on Bartholomew and the others that Hadden was still a threat.
“Pierce!” Gerard screamed in disbelief, getting up to say, “I’ll fight you to the end!”
Unfortunately, Hadden also smashed his head.
Witnessing the sudden violence, Bartholomew and Alfie were seized by panic. They had always believed Hadden to be incapable of murder, but his actions shattered their previous perceptions, signaling a terrifying shift in his demeanor.
Bartholomew implored, his voice urgent with fear, “We’ve shared years of acquaintance, Hadden. Grant me a single chance, please… Don’t kill me…”
Alfie also echoed the plea, “Please, don’t kill me. I’ll do whatever it takes, just spare me!”
In the face of their desperation, a cruel idea sparked in Hadden’s eyes.
He sneered, “I can spare you, but under one condition… I’ll insult her, and you’ll cheer me on from the side!”
