The tiger not only did not fear, but its fighting spirit became even stronger. It exerted force with its legs again, and its body bounced up again, moving faster than before, creating a spectacular scene in the air.
Ruby’s speed was even faster.
Seeing the tiger leap, it quickly ascended, creating distance in no time.
Roar!
The tiger roared in mid-air, its front paws flailing as if trying to ascend further, its eyes glaring at Ruby in furious anger. However, no matter how hard it tried, even with power comparable to a late-stage Golden Stage cultivator, it couldn’t stay airborne and had to fall back down.
Ruby seized the opportunity and dove down again.
“Chirp!” Before the tiger could land, Ruby spat out another flame from its beak.
Roar!
The tiger’s body was engulfed in flames. Its howls grew louder, filled with anger and unwillingness, as if to say, if they were dueling on the ground, it could easily snap Ruby’s neck.
It crashed into the mountainside, rolling to extinguish the flames. By the time it stopped, its white fur was completely blackened.
Ruby didn’t pursue further but maintained a safe distance in the air, ready to attack again.
Roar!
The tiger clawed at the ground, knowing it couldn’t reach Ruby.
Realizing it might be burned alive if they continued, it wanted to flee but then noticed Remus still standing nearby.
Human speed couldn’t match a beast’s, and Remus didn’t seem very strong.
With a swift rush, the tiger charged toward Remus, using the treetops as leverage for a second leap, crossing nearly 100 yards directly toward him.
Ruby watched from the air as Remus observed the tiger’s charge, his expression turning grim.
The tiger, encouraged by Remus’ frown, mistook it for fear, a reaction it had seen in many smaller creatures it had intimidated. But at the very next moment, it realized something was amiss.
A terrifying energy suddenly radiated from Remus, a density of spirit energy far more intense than anything in the mountains, suggesting Remus could easily contend with the unidentified bird.
Desperate to escape, the tiger tried to backpedal, its eyes filled with fear, but momentum carried it forward toward Remus. With no way back, it made its move.
Roar!
As it neared, the tiger opened its massive jaws, aiming to bite off Remus’ head. It managed to engulf not just Remus’ head but half of his upper body.
The forest fell silent.
Remus remained standing, unaffected by the tiger hanging from favonovel.com in mid-air. Then, a crackle was heard, and blood gushed out of the tiger’s mouth.
Its body suddenly trembled, and it fell from the air, along with four nearly foot-long tiger teeth. Unable to pierce through Remus’ body, its teeth broke.
It fell heavily to the ground, but this time, there was no roar. It immediately lay down on the ground, chin on the ground, trembling all over. It even made a sound similar to a cat’s meow.
Remus looked down and asked, “Did you think I frowned because I was afraid of you?”
