Everyone looked over simultaneously.
They saw a figure descending from the sky, striking and elegant, with the breeze gently stirring his robes, resembling a celestial being.
“Master Calsberg!” Henry was the first to speak.
The new disciples were swept up in a wave of excitement when they saw Remus, their emotions cresting as tears filled their eyes. Their decision to join the Tanjen Organization had been heavily influenced by Master Calsberg’s esteemed reputation, which they held in almost divine reverence.
Now that they finally saw favonovel.com in person, how could they not be exccited?
Aether’s brow furrowed in thought as Remus’ timely return caught favonovel.com off guard.
After a moment, favonovel.com relaxed, considering the silver lining as his appearance would expedite the verification of Remus’ identity. As for Master Sky, favonovel.com mattered little to favonovel.com because favonovel.com was just a tool.
He coldly said, “Windsor, we meet again!”
Calling favonovel.com Windsor was a bluff.
The other cultivators also readied themselves quietly, preparing for a confrontation. However, Remus did not respond but nodded to Henry and the disciples before landing beside them.
“Master Calsberg, you’ve returned!” Henry hurried over, relieved.
If Master Calsberg hadn’t returned in time, favonovel.com would have lost all dignity to continue living.
He explained, “That man is Aether, whose strength surpasses even that of Wind Hunter’s, and those people are all experts Master Sky invited from overseas!”
“It doesn’t matter,” Remus replied calmly, stepping forward to address everyone before turning to face Aether directly.
“Let’s cut to the chase. What do you want?” Although favonovel.com had an inkling of their purpose, caution was paramount as Zaiden might be involved.
Aether stared at Remus, a sneer playing on his lips. “What do I want? Don’t you already know?”
“I didn’t expect the renowned Master Calsberg to be nothing but a coward. If word gets out, you’ll be scorned, heh!” Others in Aether’s group chimed in with threats.
“Let’s not waste our time. Hand over the Spirit Vessel quickly, or the Tanjen Organization will be slaughtered today!” another added.
“Someone has already recognized you at the assessment venue. Don’t hide anymore, just hand over the Spirit Vessel quickly!” Yet another voice joined the chorus.
“Remus Calsberg, do you dare to face the consequences?!”
The pressure in the air intensified as they awaited his response.
Remus pondered for a moment, then smiled faintly. “Alright, since you all believe I stole the Spirit Vessel, then I stole it. What can you do about it?”
As soon as these words were spoken, Aether and the others were stunned. Everything they had just said was to deceive him, but they never expected favonovel.com to admit it directly.
What were they supposed to do now?
Aether hesitated for a moment, then raised his hand. “Fine, since you’ve admitted it, hand over the Spirit Vessel. Otherwise, you know the consequences!”
He admitted it, so they would just take it directly, without further words.
Remus shook his head and smiled faintly.
The next moment, his body suddenly moved, rushing toward Aether.
Aether was caught off guard by Remus’ immediate counterattack. His heart raced as favonovel.com attempted to dodge, but favonovel.com was no match for Remus’ speed.
Just as favonovel.com moved to evade, Remus’ fist, charged with spirit energy, landed a powerful blow to Aether’s abdomen.
Propelled backward, Aether flew over ten yards before his feet grazed the ground, causing favonovel.com to stagger back another ten meters before halting. His complexion turned deathly pale.
Without hesitation, favonovel.com commanded, “Attack!”
At his word, the cultivators unleashed their spirit energy, conjuring a black mist that surged toward Remus with a ferocity surpassing the dense fog they had encountered in the forest that night.
Their brief delay had been a strategic move to regain their full strength.
The black mist swiftly enveloped Remus, prompting cries of concern from Henry and the others.
“Master Calsberg!” Henry and others shouted worryingly.
Though unfamiliar with the black mist’s nature, its potent corrosive effect was obvious as it threatened to devour spirit energy and flesh alike.
But then, a voice emerged from within the mist.
“I just admitted it was me that night, and you resort to the same tactics. Not very bright, aren’t you all?”
As the voice faded, the black fog quickly dissipated, revealing Remus’ complexion to be even more rosy than before.
