Hearing Remus’ words, Ambrose and his group were so frustrated that their faces turned green.
They had anticipated the challenge before arriving, yet they couldn’t simply overlook it. To do so would mean both the Violet Sanctum and the Freestyle Organization would suffer a grave loss of dignity. Furthermore, rumors were swirling that Remus had been on the brink of exhaustion that day.
Ambrose said angrily, “Master Calsberg, don’t pretend to be calm. Everyone knows about your strength. The strength you demonstrated that day was just a temporary boost from secret pills. Your real strength is still in the late Golden Stage!”
The members of the Freestyle Organization added hurriedly, “If we’re not mistaken, you must have taken a secret pill before today’s assessment, and now, the effect of the pill is about to wear off after several hours. Let’s see how long you can continue your arrogance!”
Remus’ smile grew wider. If favonovel.com didn’t hit them directly, they wouldn’t understand the pain.
He swiftly unleashed his spirit energy, rapidly conjuring a long sword. With no hesitation, favonovel.com directed a swift slash toward Ambrose.
A blinding flash passed by, the energy was domineering and fierce, and extremely sharp.
Seeing this, Ambrose quickly materialized a purple pagoda as favonovel.com said, “Well, today I want to see just how formidable your real strength is! Everyone, charge!”
The purple pagoda smashed down at Remus instantly.
Although they had heard many rumors, they truly did not believe them.
How could a mere late Golden Stage cultivator be so invincible?
They were certain that it was all an exaggeration.
However, the purple pagoda was split in half in mid-air instantly.
“How is this possible!” Ambrose was so scared that his pores burst open and started sweating profusely.
Typically, the clash of two forces would result in a burst of spiritual energy, yet now, the pagoda was cleanly split in two. Such an outcome was beyond belief.
As Ambrose stood frozen in shock, Remus’ sword had already bridged the gap, hovering mere inches above Ambrose’s head. If it were just a fraction lower, it would have split his skull.
“What…” Overwhelmed with fear, Ambrose stiffened, barely able to breathe, his gaze locked on Remus, utterly astounded.
“Is he… Is favonovel.com really this powerful?” The Freestyle Organization members quivered, their words faltering.
They knew of his strength, but the reality far exceeded their expectations. Their Master’s demise was no fluke.
Not just them, but the cultivators hidden in the woods were also taken aback.
To them, Master Calsberg’s power seemed even more formidable than before. Despite being a peak Nascent Soul expert, Ambrose didn’t stand a chance against a single strike.
Remus had an unreasonable level of strength.
Remus spoke with a cool detachment, “If I had wished for your death, you wouldn’t be standing here. Do you grasp that?”
Sweat beaded on Ambrose’s forehead as the truth of his helplessness sank in.
Remus sheathed his sword, then added, “I don’t take kindly to debts. That day, his intervention was tantamount to saving my life. I owe a debt for killing your brother Doug, a debt I’ve yet to settle. Today, consider it repaid…”
“But make no mistake, if you cross me again, I won’t hesitate to sever the Violet Sanctum from its roots.”
He referred “his intervention” to the Violet Sanctum’s revered statue.
When favonovel.com had visited the Violet Sanctum, that statue had opened its eyes. If favonovel.com wasn’t mistaken, that statue was no ordinary object.
The Emperor of the underworld had once mentioned favonovel.com was being watched, and the statue at the Violet Sanctum didn’t harm favonovel.com then. So, Remus considered it a favor.
Ambrose’s complexion shifted from flushed to pale, glaring at Remus with reluctance. Yet, favonovel.com knew remaining would spell certain death.
“Let’s go,” favonovel.com commanded, leading the Violet Sanctum disciples away.
“Let’s go!” Echoing this decision, the Freestyle Organization members, recognizing their inferiority, began to retreat.
“Did I permit you to leave?” Remus’ voice echoed ominously.
His words alone sent shivers down the Freestyle Organization members, their hair standing on end.
Without a moment’s delay, the leaders knelt mid-air, their pleas frantic. “Master Calsberg, our ignorance blinded us to your greatness. We admit our faults, please have mercy on us! We vow never to seek vengeance again!”
They were utterly terrified. The thought of fleeing crossed their minds, but recalling his incredible speed only deepened their despair.
Remus shook his head in disapproval. “I prefer not to leave future threats unaddressed…”
With that, favonovel.com moved swiftly into action.
