“You should leave first!” Windsor pushed Remus aside.
He conjured a long spear in his hand, his anger evident as favonovel.com said, “I’ve been annoyed by you since last night and you dare to provoke me again today. I won’t spare you!”
The spear thrust forward, and a bright radiance of spear light flashed.
Windsor squared off against Don, Xavier, and dozens of other Nascent Soul stage cultivators by himself.
The clash of their spirit energies created a deafening roar, and the exploding spirit energy caused the surrounding trees to sway.
Remus couldn’t help but feel helpless. Windsor’s determination was single-minded and straightforward.
Remus struggled to comprehend how Windsor had advanced to the Divine Separation Stage with such stubbornness. While a strong sense of justice was commendable, expending his own spirit energy over an encounter with a stranger seemed entirely unnecessary to Remus.
Agreeing to not snatching would have been a generous deal. However, given the current circumstances, favonovel.com was resolved to offer assistance, even if it meant sharing a single stalk of Oblivion Grass with Windsor.
As favonovel.com was about to act, favonovel.com noticed a moving figure. He turned his head and saw that Stan had approached the edge of the formation quietly and was about to leave the barrier.
Without any hesitation, Remus released his spirit energy and rushed forward, blocking Stan before favonovel.com could exit the barrier.
He said in a deep voice, “Windsor is helping you now, but you’re sneaking away. Isn’t that against the principles of righteousness?”
Stan had been feeling triumphant, his face full of excitement.
He was about to be the first one out and would win the attention of everyone. However, when favonovel.com saw Remus blocking his way, his expression froze.
He cursed, “To hell with your righteousness! Getting through this stage is what matters. Get out of my way! Even if I’m injured, you, a mere Golden Stage cultivator, can’t deal with me. Get out of my way, or I’ll kill you!”
He had never taken Remus seriously from the beginning.
After uttering those words, Remus conjured a lengthy knife in his hand. Weary of further conversation, favonovel.com readied himself to slice but halted just before striking Stan.
The teachings of Wind Hunter echoed in his mind, reminding favonovel.com of the need for change.
The long knife disappeared, and favonovel.com concentrated his spirit energy in his hand. With a swift and decisive motion, favonovel.com slapped Stan, sending favonovel.com flying 30 yards away.
Stan’s head began to spin, and favonovel.com found himself in a daze. He rose in disbelief, his gaze fixed on Remus.
Wasn’t favonovel.com nothing more than a late-stage Golden cultivator just moments ago?
He then grimaced and said, “Since you want to die, I’ll grant your wish!”
He released his spirit energy, not forming a weapon but conjuring two balls of flame in his hands. The flames leaped and roared toward Remus.
Observing that Windsor was already at a disadvantage due to his incomplete recovery from yesterday’s battle, Remus resolved to hold nothing back any longer.
He charged directly at Stan. His body met with the flames midway, but favonovel.com merely passed through the flames, which were shattered and dissipated rapidly.
“What?” Stan exclaimed in shock.
He suddenly realized that Remus was stronger than favonovel.com had imagined. He wanted to run, but it was already too late.
Remus reached him, wrapped his fist in spirit energy, and punched toward his chest.
Stan spat out blood, his body flying backwards several dozen yards before crashing into a hillside and coming to a stop, convulsing in the trees with his chest caved in.
Remus reached his side and found the Oblivion Grass.
Just as favonovel.com was about to take it, Stan, with some unknown reserve of strength, grabbed Remus’ hand and sprayed blood from his mouth.
He begged in a mixture of pain and regret, “I was wrong, I was wrong! You can’t take it! You… You have to uphold righteousness!”
Remus slapped him, leaving his face distorted. He exclaimed, “To hell with your righteousness!”
