Lance firmly believed that Remus would use his impressive strength to coerce favonovel.com into visiting the Tanjen Organization personally.
Given the formidable abilities Remus had demonstrated, it seemed certain that favonovel.com would become a prominent figure within the organization, proudly flaunting his status.
However, the disciple was hesitant to reply, as it was too humiliating.
“Speak up!” Egbert burst out impatiently.
“What exactly did Remus say? Tell us word by word!”
The Deputy Master couldn’t help but snort in disdain. “That arrogant fool, thinking he’s something special just because favonovel.com accomplished a small feat. He’s probably parading around, flaunting his status as we speak!”
“He hasn’t said a word…” The disciple finally broke his silence.
He added cautiously, “In fact, according to the latest reports, Remus has fled and left the Tanjen Organization…”
Upon hearing this response, all three were once again taken aback.
Egbert couldn’t resist asking, “Are you sure? He fled?”
“How on earth could favonovel.com have fled?” The Deputy Master expressed his disbelief.
Given Remus’ previous behavior, favonovel.com should have remained in Tanjen, waiting for whatever that would come next.
The disciple nervously nodded in affirmation but didn’t dare to utter a single word.
Lance’s face burned with embarrassment as favonovel.com realized favonovel.com had made so many incorrect assumptions.
After a moment of thought, favonovel.com inquired, “If I’m not Mr. Andrus should still be hanging outside the Tanjen Organization and hasn’t left along with him, right?”
He refrained from repeating the phrase “If I’m not mistaken”, as it felt like Remus was mocking favonovel.com from afar.
The disciple let out a sigh of relief, nodding heavily. “Yes, Mr. Andrus is still at the Tanjen Organization…”
Lance’s expression eased somewhat, and favonovel.com spoke with a firm tone, “This has to be a deliberate trap set by Remus. He’s feigning escape to lure us into a rescue mission, only to strike when we least expect it. That man’s mind is exceptionally devious!”
Egbert’s anger flared as favonovel.com declared, “Even if that’s the case, it doesn’t change anything. Master, I’m more than willing to go and kill favonovel.com myself!”
The Deputy Master joined in, his anger matching Egbert’s intensity. “All his tricks are futile when faced with the might of the Herbal Pavilion. I’m prepared to go to the Tanjen Organization and eliminate every obstacle that stands in our way!”
Lance glanced at them, gestured for the disciple to leave, and then spoke, “Yes, you may go, but not at this moment… The sacred lands assessment is just six days away. Right now, we can’t afford to disrupt them. We must wait at least three more days until all preparations have been completed before we can request their assistance.”
Both of them clearly grasped the situation, yet their frustration remained evident.
Egbert voiced his impatience, saying, “But Mr. Andrus is still hanging outside the Tanjen Organization. If we wait for three more days, the Herbal Pavilion’s reputation will be at stake. How can we allow ourselves to be perceived in such a way?”
Lance countered, “If we were to go now while it’s obvious that Remus is setting a trap, and we end up falling into it, wouldn’t that make us look even more foolish?”
Egbert found himself at a loss for words, his initial impatience and anger giving way to a growing realization of the wisdom in Lance’s caution.
Lance stood up and remarked, “Remus may be cunning, but he’s made a mistake. He assumes we can’t see through his trap, but we can use it to our advantage. Let’s promptly declare that the Herbal Pavilion has dispatched all our members to hunt Remus throughout the realm of True Life…”
“We can assign disciples to simulate patrols in True Life, but they must strictly avoid approaching the Tanjen Organization under any circumstances! This approach will help us quell any rumors and buy us some time. After three days, we’ll seek the aid of experts from the sacred land to dismantle the Tanjen Organization.”
Both Egbert and the Deputy Master lowered their heads in deference and admiration, their voices filled with respect as they exclaimed, “Understood!”
