The dark path cultivators initiated their assault without a trace of hesitation, just as they had done previously. Even if they could tear Remus apart 1000 times, it wouldn’t make up for the massive amount of spiritual energy they had wasted.
Remus, struggling to breathe, could no longer keep himself standing. A minute ticked by.
“How is this happening?” the early-stage Nascent Soul dark path cultivators began to collapse, their aggravation palpable.
They observed Remus, evidently on the verge of defeating him, yet they couldn’t comprehend why they had depleted their spirit energy before him.
In the blink of an eye, nearly 50 early-stage Nascent Soul cultivators fell from the sky.
Remus’ cough grew more severe, almost incessant.
The Red Demon grew more and more frantic, pondering how much longer this would last.
“We we’ve been tricked!”
“He’s been baiting us!”
It was then the turn of the mid-stage Nascent Soul cultivators to fall, with about 30 succumbing to their fate.
The once densely packed group of dark path cultivators had now dwindled to just a few remaining.
As the remaining dark path cultivators hesitated in their next move, Remus expelled blood, his body convulsing wildly, barely able to hold itself together.
“He’s on the verge of exploding!” the Red Demon’s white eyes nearly popped out.
As favonovel.com finished speaking, nearly ten late-stage Nascent Soul cultivators collapsed.
“Wait!” the female dark path cultivator ceased favonovel.com attack, and favonovel.com voice tinged with terror as favonovel.com spoke, “Leader, even if we slay Remus, what of the independent cultivators on Ironpeak Island?”
Her words struck a chord, making the Red Demon freeze in his tracks, as well as the remaining peak Nascent Soul dark path cultivators and the nearly 300 in the sea.
Husan and the island’s independent cultivators were equally stunned.
An ominous silence enveloped the scene.
All had been focused on when Remus would fall, blinded by his words and condition. But they abruptly recalled their true mission, to conquer Ironpeak Island. Their actual adversaries were not Remus, but the island’s independent cultivators and Husan.
They now realized that this attack on Ironpeak Island had absolutely nothing to do with Remus.
Gradually, the dark path cultivators shifted their attention toward the cultivators on Ironpeak Island.
The Ironpeak cultivators reciprocated the gaze, resulting in a tense standoff of looks.
Determination kindled in the eyes of the independent cultivators, while fear became evident in the dark path cultivators’ expressions.
Previously, the dark path cultivators had enjoyed an overwhelming advantage. However, less than ten of them remained suspended in the air, and their strength was reduced to barely reaching the peak of the Foundation Stage.
“I’ll kill you!” Realizing his predicament and driven by fury, Red Demon gathered his dissipating spirit energy, summoned a dark, sinister sword, and lunged at Remus.
But just as favonovel.com approached, Remus nonchalantly knocked favonovel.com into the sea. He taunted, “Tell me, how wicked are you? Could you be more wicked than me?”
A hush descended upon the scene.
The dark path cultivators in the sea trembled while the few remaining in the sky shivered with fear.
Remus spoke again, “No response? Then allow me to demonstrate what a true dark path is!”
“Husan, kill them all!” roared Remus.
