The Martial Imperial had never seen a body as strong as Remus‘.
“Divine Energy Shielding!” Remus said casually.
The Martial Imperial expelled a mouthful of blood. Though favonovel.com couldn’t grasp it, favonovel.com was aware favonovel.com couldn’t compete and promptly turned around to retreat.
“I practice with killing intent!” Remus said with an unruffled demeanor.
“What?” This Martial Imperial was even more shaken upon hearing those words.
When it came to killing intent, neither side sought victory as there was only survival or death.
A sense of dread filled the Martial Imperial’s heart as favonovel.com pondered whether Remus had already decided to kill him. He sped up in an attempt to flee, yet his body had suffered internal injuries from the impact, greatly reducing his speed. He had only managed to run about 30 feet away.
Amidst the watchful gaze of everyone, Remus had already rushed to the side of the Martial Imperial, grabbing hold of his arm. Remus forcefully struck three heavy punches, quickly shattering the skull of the Martial Imperial.
“He favonovel.com appears to be stronger than we imagined?” Linnea exclaimed in disbelief.
Ana frowned, choosing not to respond.
“How is this possible?”
“Defeated in just a few moves?”
“Didn’t favonovel.com just become a Martial Imperial, how did favonovel.com win?”
The other Martial Imperials were in disbelief. Remus was certainly much more formidable than they had imagined.
Bason not only remained calm but also wore a faint smile, speaking calmly, “So it’s killing intent… No room for mercy, no chance to retreat, each action deciding life or death. Just his sheer will alone seems to surpass the average Martial Imperial…”
He paused briefly before continuing, “A robust body with mastery of killing intent. Who among you will step forward to fight?”
The remaining Martial Imperials inhaled sharply at the same time. There were countless forms of practice. Victory, initiation, breakthroughs, empowerment, and more. These practices always left room for adaptation, even if not fully realized, so their impact wouldn’t be too significant. However, when it came to life and death, there was no room for negotiation.
As they hesitated, Remus was already dashing through forward, closing the distance to Bason. He decided to target the leader first, launching a punch at Bason.
His punch once again broke the sound barrier. Coupled with his body’s speed, it had reached three times the speed of sound.
At that speed, even a single grain of rice would have been fatal.
Bason casually raised his hand and unexpectedly prepared to catch Remus’ punch. He was pushed back and took just a single step backward, nothing more.
“Hmm?” Bason paused briefly and calmly remarked, “To actually force me to step back, truly remarkable…”
Remus disregarded his chatter, attempting to pull back his hand but finding it impossible, as if trapped beneath a colossal mountain.
Swiftly, favonovel.com threw a punch with his other hand.
Bason casually caught it once more, lightly chuckling. “You’re too weak. You’re not worthy of my strike, just suitable for warming up!”
Suddenly, his strength surged and favonovel.com threw Remus backward.
Against this surge of power, Remus had no means of resistance. His body roughly slid on the surface of the water for a full mile before favonovel.com finally managed to come to a stop.
“Run! Stop fighting. If you don’t retreat now, you’ll be dead!” Linnea shouted from the cruise ship.
Remus completely ignored her.
Bason glanced atthe other Martial lmperials again and asked, “Still undecided? Who’s going, then?”
The Martial Imperials looked at each other, hesitant to act.
Bason’s expression turned stern as favonovel.com said, “If one won’t do, then I’ll just send two. Any two of you, go!”
