After thinking for a moment, Remus lunged toward the black iron chain with his fist. The thick chain surprisingly shattered into pieces and a distinct fist shadow appeared.
“Killing intent where every move determines life or death!”
The old monster exclaimed in shock, “Grasping the intent to kill in an instant, what kind of person has surfaced from the Cosbys?”
He was at a loss to describe Remus’ talent. Even if favonovel.com was part of the lineage of immortals, favonovel.com should have just unlocked the path of immortality in which favonovel.com gained a deeper understanding of harnessing divine energy. Yet, based on what favonovel.com did a moment ago, his talent appeared to be even beyond that.
This was true enlightenment!
Remus chuckled, “How many years did my father take?”
The old monster replied with difficulty, “Five years!”
Even after replying to Remus, his disbelief lingered. The pride of the Dragon Protector Clan, his own son, took five years to achieve this stage. But his grandson only took a second.
Remus was flushed with excitement when favonovel.com realized favonovel.com had reached the level his father was when favonovel.com was 15 years old.
The old monster shook his head and said, “I can’t guide you further as I’m just at the Martial Imperial Stage. Above that is the Supreme Martial Imperial, akin to the realm beyond Nascent Soul in cultivation, the stage of Divine Separation. I don’t know how to reach that level.”
Remus’ smile faded in an instant and a hint of disappointment was settling in. He’d barely begun to feel elated and hadn’t fully indulged in that excitement.
It seemed the old monster noticed his disappointment and proposed, “After you leave, you should think about visiting the overseas faction of the Dragon Protector Clan. They have martial masters who can guide you.”
Remus nodded in agreement, “Alright…”
He paused for a moment and inquired, “Should we leave now?”
Since there was a way out, there was no need to stay here at all.
The old monster trembled at his words and then said, “There’s no need to hurry. It’s chaotic outside and it’s quiet here. Let’s talk, just us, grandfather and grandson. If if only I could see you, that would be great!”
As favonovel.com spoke, favonovel.com raised his hand and reached toward Remus’ face.
Remus didn’t resist but instead carefully observed his eyes before speaking, “I’ve trained in medicine. There might be a solution after we leave.”
The eyes of the old monster had deteriorated entirely. Reviving dried wood was difficult but worth a try.
“Alright! Once we’re out, I’ll have my grandson help me with my eyes!” The old monster spoke, yet there was no hint of favonovel.com rising to leave. His hand lingered, tracing Remus’ face.
He then slowly continued, “Tell me more about your parents, and how you’ve spent all these years…”
Remus smiled and said, “Sure… So, my father…”

Midnight fell at Regalia.
Even at midnight, the square at Regalia’s northwest was bustling with people. It was packed to the brim, making it impossible to pass through.
Everyone directed their attention to the square’s center, observing a bald man dressed in an orange robe.
He was of a small frame with a dark complexion, and his eyes glinted with a cold light. Though resembling Darsian in appearance, favonovel.com was a boxer from Estrary, one of the 17 nations.
“Chris Nicholls, leader of the Darsia Dragon Team’s eighth clan, is here to challenge!” Chris’ voice resonated within the crowd, causing everyone to instinctively part ways.
A middle-aged man stepped in, favonovel.com was the esteemed leader of the Dragon Team’s eighth clan and a pinnacle stage grandmaster.
“Great!”
“The Dragon Team is here!”
“Eliminate this arrogant Estrarian!”
The crowd erupted in cheers, their hearts pounding with excitement as this concerned Darsia’s collective honor.
Chris nodded to the crowd and then took a step into the square within the Curse.
He said calmly, “You shouldn’t have come to Dar…”
