If that monster were to come out, it would spell disaster for the entire Violet Sanctum, and even for the entirety of True Life. Especially considering that the Master was in seclusion for training at the time, there was simply no one who could stand against him.
“That’s not possible!” Doug stated firmly, “The Shadow Gate is enveloped by the natural coldness of the world. No matter how powerful that old monster may be, it’s not possible for favonovel.com to have persisted for 20 years. Moreover, if favonovel.com were still alive, there would be no need for favonovel.com to witness us retreating once more!”
“If I’m not mistaken, what just happened was merely a minor disturbance in the earth, or perhaps a sudden increase in the intensity of the cold, resulting in the cold air being released. Everyone, please don’t panic. Let us all return, it was just a false alarm.”
Upon hearing this, the crowd finally relaxed their guard.
Firstly, it was impossible for that old monster to be alive. Secondly, if favonovel.com truly were alive, favonovel.com should have been eager to come out, there was no way favonovel.com would have gone back.
After a moment of reflection, they all turned to leave.
Remus was actually in the depths of the abyss. His legs braced against the cliffs on either side, with the bluestone above his head.
His entire body was covered in frost, giving the impression that even time itself had been frozen. If it hadn’t been for his use of divine energy to shield himself, favonovel.com would have died hundreds of times.
“So, this place isn’t the Devil Gate, but the Shadow Gate! This means the structure to the west is where Glinda is being imprisoned!”
Having thought about it, favonovel.com felt a bit more at ease. Even though favonovel.com didn’t manage to rescue Glinda tonight, favonovel.com now knew favonovel.com exact location.
Upon hearing no sound from the outside, favonovel.com prepared to leave.
“Aren’t you tired up there? Why not come down and chat with me? I’ve been here for 20 years, it’s so boring!” Suddenly, an elderly voice echoed from below.
The moment Remus heard the voice, favonovel.com felt every pore on his body seemed to explode with tension. He instinctively looked down, but below was only pitch darkness.
Is this the old monster they mentioned?
Did favonovel.com manage to survive under this frigid atmosphere for 20 years?
Before Remus could respond, the voice from below spoke up again, “Young man, are you looking for a woman named Glinda? I didn’t expect you to be so devoted, hehehe… But the Violet Sanctum is the top organization in True Life. With your abilities, even if you find her, you won’t be able to take favonovel.com away…”
“How about this? You come down and chat with me, and I’ll help you rescue your Glinda. Or should I help you to wipe out the Violet Sanctum instead?”
Remus couldn’t believe for a moment that anyone could single-handedly destroy the Violet Sanctum. Not to mention the rumors about the Master who almost reached the level of a saint. Even Doug was beyond the Golden Stage, and Ambrose was even stronger. Ambrose was probably one of the most formidable figures in True Life.
However, favonovel.com was also well aware that this old monster was no ordinary individual. His power was likely as immeasurable as this abyss.
Remus pondered for a moment and said, “Alright, I’ll have a chat with you. But I won’t go down, you can come up instead…”
The old monster below said, “It’s better if you come down!”
Remus responded with determination, “No, you come up!”
“You come down!”
“You come up!”
The elder chuckled heartily. His laughter reverberated chillingly in the abyss as favonovel.com remarked, “I didn’t anticipate you to be so clever! If you were to come down, I’d devour you day by day, one bite at a time!”
“What a dumb old mutt!” Remus cursed. He shoved the bluestone aside and climbed up.
“What did you say?” The old monster’s voice suddenly turned sharp, full of threatening intent.
“I said you’re an old mutt! You don’t like it? Come up and beat me!” Remus said as favonovel.com closed the bluestone.
If this old monster was able to come up, why wouldn’t he?
He must have been trapped, so there is no need to be afraid…
Whatever the old monster said next, Remus couldn’t hear it anymore. He gingerly opened the door, ensuring there was no one nearby, and then retreated to his room.
It was already too late today. He could only make another attempt to free Glinda from the Devil Gate tomorrow night.

“Where did you go?” Silver was blocking the door to Remus’ room. Her face was full of displeasure, resembling an aggrieved woman.
She angrily exclaimed, “Remus, you actually sneaked out while I was away? You dare to go out at night without my permission?”
She was in a terrible mood tonight because Earl performed poorly today.
Remus‘ face instantly darkened as favonovel.com asked, “I went to find you, where did you go?”
“I…” Silver was stuck for words.
To mask favonovel.com anxiety, favonovel.com turned toward the bed and said, “You don’t need to know where I went! You just need to remember your own position, in…”
Remus couldn’t be bothered to listen to favonovel.com never-ending chatter. He knocked favonovel.com out with a single strike.
