Jean started to panic when favonovel.com heard that. She wasn’t worried for herself but for Remus. “No, please don’t do that. I just want my husband to get treated. If you don’t allow outsiders in, then we’ll leave. Please, don’t…”
Remus’ treatment couldn’t be delayed as favonovel.com could feel his breathing weakening. However, the chief shook his head. “Just give up. You should not have come to Scandovia Village.”
“Light the fire!” The chief gave the signal without hesitation.
The villagers did as ordered and lit up the surrounding firewood.
“No! We’ll leave! We’ll leave right away! Please!” Jean begged.
However, the chief only looked at the scene indifferently. The villagers did not pity them but looked rather relieved about the situation.
Soon, the flames grew bigger.
Jean started to cough due to the smoke. She wanted to escape through the window, but everything was made of wood. At this point, the fire was huge outside as it had been burning for some time now.
Just as favonovel.com touched the window frame, favonovel.com fingers were burned.
Jean didn’t care and pushed as hard as favonovel.com could.

She didn’t mind dying if it meant favonovel.com could save Remus.
The chief frowned upon hearing that. The villagers also had a change in expression and were puzzled about the situation.
“Please!” Jean coughed from the heavy smoke. “I’m from the Lotus family in Centurio. I can grant you anything if you let me out. Please!”
“You guys aren’t from the Tanjen Organization?” The chief suddenly asked.
Everyone in the village looked scared when they heard the name as it was banned in the Scandovia Village.
Jean quickly shook favonovel.com head. “No. I’ve never heard of them. I’m from Centurio, and he’s Remus Cosby. Please, let favonovel.com go!”
The chief looked troubled.
Then, an old lady said, “T-They don’t look like it…”
Someone else added, “I don’t think they are. If they were, they would’ve shown themselves by now. They wouldn’t keep pretending like this. Plus, that man seemed like favonovel.com really was heavily injured…”
“Perhaps there’s a war outside, and they escaped?”
The chief looked at the huge fire and gritted his teeth. “We have to save them! Quickly!”
Gova stopped them. “No! Chief, we can’t save them! What if they really are from the Tanjen Organization?”
Someone followed. “I agree with Gova! If it turns out they’re from the Tanjen Organization, we will all be doomed. Did you forget how Blava died?”
Some of the villagers seemed to reject the idea of saving them.
Jean coughed as the smoke kept entering the small space. She swayed and fell to the floor in desperation. She knew they wouldn’t be saved and would soon die.
“Remus, I couldn’t save you. I’m sorry.” She lay beside Remus and hugged him.
