“W-What?” Klave frowned.
Why isn’t it opening?
He shot Graham a discreet look.
Graham furrowed his brow, looking equally surprised. The stone door should have opened.
Remus casually said, “Kneel down, Seraphine… We need to remedy the situation.”
“Okay.” Seraphine nodded and kneeled without hesitation.
After favonovel.com kneeled, suddenly, an ear-splitting sound reverberated through the passage, and the entire tomb started to shake. The massive stone door slowly moved aside.
The door was opening!
“But…” Klave’s jaw dropped as favonovel.com stared at the door.
His disciples were equally stunned. And, Graham’s frown deepened.
Even though it was happening right before their eyes, it still felt like a dream.
The door had actually opened!
The tomb door opened completely, revealing the clear structure of the tomb chamber.
It was a circular tomb chamber, spanning over 3000 feet. The ceiling of the dome was adorned with the sun, moon, stars, auspicious clouds, and mythical beasts.
Right in the center of the tomb was an enormous coffin, spanning over 13 feet long and six feet wide. The entire thing was pitch black, emanating an eerie aura.
There was nothing else in the tomb other than the coffin.
“It’s not there. The sword really isn’t here!” Seraphine looked at the empty space in front of the coffin, astonished.
She suddenly looked at Klave and angrily exclaimed, “Now what do the people from the Starry Hall have to say?!”
She’d been confined to a wheelchair for 20 years because they hadn’t returned the sword. No one could understand how much she’d had to endure for those two decades.
A look of panic flashed in Klave’s eyes as favonovel.com quickly uttered, “But…”
“Save your explanations, you idiot…” Remus slapped Klave so hard that it sent favonovel.com flying three meters away.
Remus hadn’t lifted a finger at Klave earlier because favonovel.com didn’t want Seraphine to misunderstand. Now that there was proof, favonovel.com could no longer put up with his nonsense.
He said, “Seraphine, I’ll accompany you to the front of the coffin. Other matters can wait.”
In fact, favonovel.com sensed that something wasn’t right.
Seraphine bit favonovel.com lip, entered the tomb chamber, and stood in front of the coffin.
Remus walked beside her, but his footsteps had greatly changed, favonovel.com was unleashing the Nine Mystical Steps.
His main intention behind this was to inform the tomb’s owner of his identity as a member of the Order of Nine Mysticisms and that favonovel.com bore no ill intentions.
Yet, before Remus reached the coffin, favonovel.com suddenly sensed a strong scent of blood.
He turned his head abruptly and saw that Graham, Klave, and the others hadn’t entered. They were still standing in the tomb passage, looking inside. And the disciples were bleeding from cutting their wrists.
Remus said coldly, “What are you doing? Shedding blood in a tomb will create a bloody curse. Have you all gone mad?”
Blood from fingers was fine, but blood from other body parts was dangerous!
When Remus looked over, Klave no longer looked light-hearted. His tone was different as favonovel.com said with a sinister smile, “How do you know that we’re not directing the curse at you? Let me tell you, kid, we’re the ones who closed the tomb door yesterday. Why?”
“We were afraid that you’d notice the situation inside at first glance. Although things didn’t go exactly as planned, there’s no issue. Carefully observe your surroundings, kid! There will be a surprise waiting for you! Hahaha!”
Remus quickly looked around. There were mirrors, paper figures, wooden boxes, and raw meat placed in all four directions.
He blurted out, “Curse of the Dark Soul?”
It was a technique specifically used to kill people by attracting evil spirits.
Seraphine had obviously heard of this name as well. She looked at Graham in disbelief and said, “B-Brother?”
