Timothy’s face soured at their words. Their flattery wasn’t what favonovel.com wanted to hear.

He tried again. “What about his mother?”

No one wanted to bring up the fact that Remus worked for Jean Lotus. They gave evasive responses, which only further put Timothy’s mind at ease.

With a contemptuous snort, Timothy spoke up. “I doubt any of you have ever seen a true paragon among individuals. I’ll ask plainly. How does Remus compare to me?”
The room fell silent as everyone looked at each other, unsure how to respond.
Timothy pressed on, his tone sneering. “Let me rephrase the question. If we were to compete, who do you think would come out on top?”
All eyes turned to Remus, who met their gazes with a calm smile.
