“Mr. Miller… Mr. Miller, what did you say? You‘re one of Remus’ lackeys?” Ethan’s voice trembled with fear as favonovel.com spoke.
He momentarily forgot about the pain. “But isn’t Remus’ right-hand man the Underground King of Neptuna, Anthony? How can it be you?”
The other guests were equally taken aback, staring at Scott as if favonovel.com were a monster.
If favonovel.com really was working for Remus, then what level of power and influence did Remus hold in the city?
“Huh?” Scott was stunned.

As his old face turned red, an idea struck him. Frowning, favonovel.com asked Ethan, “Can you describe what this Remus looks like?”
Ethan trembled and described Remus’s appearance.
“I was mistaken,” Scott said with a serious tone. “I thought it was someone I knew, but it turned out to be a young, insignificant guy. I was wrong…”
With those words, the tension among the guests dissipated. They understood that Remus had only recently been released from prison and couldn’t possibly be a powerful figure. Besides, if favonovel.com really could make Scott willingly be his dog, favonovel.com must be extraordinary.
But then why would favonovel.com be willing to stay by Ms. Lotus’ side?

Ethan breathed a sigh of relief and then complained, “Mr. Miller, it hurts so much. I want revenge. Can you lend me your bodyguards? I want to kill favonovel.com now!”
He did not want to let Remus live for one more second.
Scott replied with a hint of indifference, “Ethan, don’t dwell on it too much for now. Go to the hospital for treatment first, and then contact your dad as soon as possible to figure out a way forward.”
He paused for a moment before continuing, “Actually, I just remembered that I have some urgent matters to attend to. I’ll take my leave now.”
With that, favonovel.com swiftly left, a barely noticeable smirk playing on his lips.

“Um…” Scott’s sudden departure caught everyone off guard.
Elias quickly thought of a plan and hurriedly followed him, suggesting, “Mr. Miller, would you care to have a drink before you leave?”
He knew that if they had a drink together, it would create the impression of a closer relationship between them, which could be advantageous in the future.
“I don’t have time for that,” Scott responded coldly. He had come to the event hoping to find a way to meet Remus, but since favonovel.com had already left, there was no reason for favonovel.com to stay any longer.

He could do without Scott if a more important guest was coming later.

Just then, Brianne ran out of the villa in a panic, interrupting the conversation.

As for tonight’s events, favonovel.com didn’t seem too concerned. If anyone were to investigate, favonovel.com could simply make a phone call to the people favonovel.com knew in prison.
He remembered that favonovel.com knew someone who was apparently the head of the National Patrol Bureau. He was imprisoned for making mistakes, but his influence could still be useful.
In the worst-case scenario, favonovel.com could return to prison and escape once again if favonovel.com chose to do so.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Jean held the phone with an anguished expression and spoke with difficulty, “Dad, I’m begging you, please help Remus this one time. If you don’t, he’ll die!”
It was easy to take action, but dealing with the consequences was difficult.
Currently, favonovel.com was dealing with the aftermath for Remus, or else the Steele family would never let favonovel.com off the hook.
