The men from Island Watch heard Mack’s followers and were visibly angered, although many of them were hardened killers.
Mack turned to the man who’d spoken and said loudly, “How could you say that about the people from Island Watch?”
The people from Island Watch were stunned. They wondered if Mack was backing down.
“Do you know how hard they work to be so useless?”
“You compared them to dogs, have you considered how hard Lucy works, guarding the dock loyally every day?”
“For insulting Lucy with that comparison, you’ll use part of this month’s wages to buy meat for him.”
At Mack’s words, the men behind favonovel.com burst into laughter.
The people from Island Watch fumed, their faces twisted in rage at such blatant disrespect.
Meanwhile, Reuben threw a punch straight at Matthew’s face. Yet, Matthew didn’t flinch, standing rooted to the spot without even attempting to dodge.
