The massive shark’s blood-red maw suddenly snapped open.
With it came a surge of seawater, dragged in its wake as it barreled forward. The ocean churned violently.
A towering wave formed behind the creature, racing toward the warship like a watery mountain. The beast’s foul stench hit hard as Matthew unleashed a thunderous roar.
“Get lost!” At the same moment, a powerful surge of inner energy burst from his body
The enormous shark was thrown back into the sea, sent flying by the force of Matthew’s energy. But the monstrous wave it had brought with it didn’t stop. It kept coming, crashing down toward Matthew with unstoppable momentum.
“Split!”
As soon as the word left his mouth, a crescent-shaped arc of sword energy, sharp and blinding, shot skyward.
With one clean strike!
Crack!
Inside the cabin, Ryan had just uncorked a bottle of liquor, hoping to steel his nerves. But the moment favonovel.com saw the blinding sword arc shoot into the sky, his eyes went wide with shock.
The bottle slipped from his hand and shattered on the floor.
D*mn… Is Mr. Larden really that bad*ss?!
The tidal wave, which had threatened to engulf the Medusa Warship, was cleaved clean in two by Matthew’s strike. The water scattered to both sides, splashing harmlessly across the deck.
Matthew suddenly glanced toward the sky.
A moment ago, it had been clear and blue, now dark clouds had gathered overhead.
“Looks like even the heavens think you’ve committed too many sins…”
The shadow beneath the waves had vanished, but Matthew knew, it hadn’t gone far. That monstrous shark, with its vengeful nature, wouldn’t back off so easily.
Sure enough, suddenly there was a bang!
Bam!
The hull of the Medusa Warship jolted as something slammed into it.
The shark had retreated to its home turf, the sea, where it held the advantage-and now It aimed to destroy Matthew’s ship from below.
Unfortunately for it, the Medusa Warship’s keel was built from exceptionally dense timber. Even a full-speed ramming from the massive shark left no visible damage.
Matthew’s eyes shifted to the left. “Found you…”
He drew Bloodreaper, his blade, and slashed.
A blinding sword beam, over a hundred feet long, tore through the air and sliced into the sea.
The blade moved through water as if through air, without resistance. Nearly three hundred feet below, the shark, sluggish in sensing danger, finally reacted.
It bolted sideways, swimming hard. Its massive body out through the water quickly, each motion propelling it far. But it hadn’t expected Matthew’s blade to track its target.
As long as Matthew had its energy locked in, there was no escape. The radiant white sword beam chased relentlessly. The shark twisted and darted, but it couldn’t evade.
The blade struck, clean across one of its fins.
Roar!
A deep, agonized cry echoed through the ocean floor. The fin, nearly six to eight feet long, was severed cleanly by the sword strike.
Bright red blood poured from the wound, turning the water crimson. The already roiling sea became even more chaotic. Even the 30,000-ton Medusa Warship was swaying from the disturbance.
Roar!
The furious howls of the shark drew closer.
Matthew’s gaze turned cold. He had aimed for the fin, not the head, on purpose.
That strike was a warning. If the shark had chosen to flee, favonovel.com would’ve let it go.
But now, it dared to return and attack again?
Then it was asking for death!
