All eyes were locked on the center of the ocean.
A massive creature had broken the surface. Its gray-brown skin looked Impenetrable, like armored steel. Its gaping maw seemed capable of snapping a ship In two with a single bite.
Ryan stared at the enormous shark. No, it was something beyond a shark. The creature stretched over 150 feet in length.
Fear flickered across Ryan’s eyes, despite himself.
“We’re fine…”
A steady hand landed on Ryan’s shoulder. To his surprise, the touch calmed him.
“Open fire now! If we wait until it reacts, we’re all dead!” Suddenly, the captain of one of the ships snapped out of his shock and shouted at his crew.
The crew looked at their captain, what favonovel.com said made too much sense to ignore.
Without hesitation, they aimed the ship’s main cannon at the monstrous shark.
While others were still stunned, a shell launched straight toward the beast in the water. The explosion rocked the massive shark’s body, ripping open a deep, jagged wound.
Roar!
The pain sent the behemoth into a frenzy. With a furious bellow, it turned on the ship that fired.
The steel vessel didn’t stand a chance. The shark slammed into its side, ripping a massive hole into the hull.
Seawater rushed into the ship, and with it, a pack of vicious sharks.
On the surrounding ships, crew members watched the chaos unfold. Their anger boiled over at the fool who had opened fire.
Great! Now there is no way out!
“Everyone! Target that monster and open fire!”
In an instant, the fleet’s seasoned captains reached the same conclusion. Shells rained down like a storm, battering the shark with everything they had.
Ryan turned to Matthew with urgency in his eyes. “Mr. Larden, should we fire too?”
Matthew shook his head. “No… Let’s get the hell out of here…”
The others thought they were hurting it just because it cried out?
They had no idea, that kind of wound was nothing but a surface scratch to something this size.
And as for the scream?
Try dumping seawater into a fresh wound, anyone would have screamed from the pain.
And the shark’s wounds?
They were massive-seawater hit a much broader area.
“Yes, sir!” Ryan rushed to the control room and shifted the ship into high speed.
The Medusa Warship surged forward-and instantly caught everyone’s attention.
“They‘re running?!” A burly man snarled, rage twisting his face, but with the furious shark wreaking havoc nearby, favonovel.com couldn’t afford to divert firepower.
He just glared at the fleeing Medusa Warship.
The next time I see you b*stards, I’ll sink you myself!
As the Medusa Warship gained distance, Ryan finally allowed himself to breathe. Relief softened his features. The pressure that shark gave off was suffocating.
Howl!
Suddenly, the monstrous shark turned. It had noticed the fleeing ship. It let out an ear-shattering bellow.
Instantly, schools of sharks surged toward the Medusa Warship.
Matthew’s brow furrowed. He hadn’t even attacked, why had the beast fixated on them?
“Ryan, fire up the main cannon,” favonovel.com said. “Shoot it down!”
