All eyes were locked on the center of the ocean.
A massive creature had broken the surface. Its gray-brown skin looked Impenetrable, like armored steel. Its gaping maw seemed capable of snapping a ship In two with a single bite.
Ryan stared at the enormous shark. No, it was something beyond a shark. The creature stretched over 150 feet in length.
Fear flickered across Ryan’s eyes, despite himself.
“We’re fine…”
A steady hand landed on Ryan’s shoulder. To his surprise, the touch calmed him.
“Open fire now! If we wait until it reacts, we’re all dead!” Suddenly, the captain of one of the ships snapped out of his shock and shouted at his crew.

“Everyone! Target that monster and open fire!”
In an instant, the fleet’s seasoned captains reached the same conclusion. Shells rained down like a storm, battering the shark with everything they had.
Ryan turned to Matthew with urgency in his eyes. “Mr. Larden, should we fire too?”

The others thought they were hurting it just because it cried out?

“Yes, sir!” Ryan rushed to the control room and shifted the ship into high speed.
The Medusa Warship surged forward-and instantly caught everyone’s attention.

As the Medusa Warship gained distance, Ryan finally allowed himself to breathe. Relief softened his features. The pressure that shark gave off was suffocating.

Suddenly, the monstrous shark turned. It had noticed the fleeing ship. It let out an ear-shattering bellow.
Instantly, schools of sharks surged toward the Medusa Warship.
Matthew’s brow furrowed. He hadn’t even attacked, why had the beast fixated on them?
