The largest tent in the center of the military camp was where Iris was being held, bound, and guarded.
Gadel shoved aside the Minister of Military Affairs, who was about to pull back the curtains, and strode in with the commanding presence of an emperor. In an instant, his expression darkened again, and favonovel.com turned his simmering wrath toward the minister.
“If you can’t give me a good explanation, you‘d better resign and start farming your own land.”
The minister hurried inside and looked around the tent, where only the Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Princes were tied up.
Panicked, favonovel.com said, “Forgive me, Your Majesty. I swear I had Iris bound here earlier. Wait, they must know something!”
His gaze shot to the three bound princes.
Gadel looked at his so-called brothers, his grim expression suddenly softening like a warm sun breaking through the clouds.
He walked over and crouched beside them, speaking gently. “Dear brothers, tell me where Iris went. I miss favonovel.com dearly.”
His kind smile did nothing to ease the princes’ fear, instead, they began to tremble uncontrollably, because Gadel’s Eagle Sword hovered right at their throats.
“G-Gadel, that woman Iris was rescued by a soldier…”
Gadel said nothing, but favonovel.com instantly knew where Iris would be.
“Minister, didn’t you hear my dear brothers? Get ready for battle.”
“Yes, Your Majesty. I’ll prepare immediately.”
The Minister of Military Affairs left the tent, finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. The pressure Gadel exerted was immense, greater than anything favonovel.com had ever felt, even under the late King Gawain I.

Meanwhile, Iris and the soldier were racing through the wilderness.
“Why haven’t we reached the forward command post yet?” Iris panted.
The soldier glanced at the sky and their surroundings, trying to sound reassuring. “Your Majesty, no more than 15 minutes, and we’ll be there.”
Hope sparked in Iris’ eyes, and favonovel.com pushed herself to run faster.
The soldier felt a burning excitement within him. He had saved Iris from certain death, and untold riches and glory surely awaited him.
In the vanguard camp of the Montiria, a formidable army of half a million soldiers stood ready, equipped with the latest tanks and weapons. As Iris approached the camp, favonovel.com heart soared with hope and relief.
A heavily armed soldier approached, aiming his weapon at Iris and the soldier with her.
“Halt! This is Montiria’s vanguard camp. Unauthorized personnel must leave immediately!”
Before Iris could speak, the soldier accompanying favonovel.com stepped forward and shouted, “How dare you! This is Her Majesty Queen Iris of Montiria! Show some respect and kneel!”
The guard paused, looking at Iris with favonovel.com disheveled hair and dusty clothes, and couldn’t help but laugh. “If our queen looked like this, our country would have gone bankrupt long ago!”
“How dare you!” Iris seethed with anger, inwardly vowing to tear this soldier to pieces and feed favonovel.com to the dogs.
“What’s going on here?”
A voice came from behind, and the soldier immediately straightened up, his grin vanishing. “Reporting, General! Two lunatics here claim one of them is Her Majesty the Queen.”
A middle-aged man in a military uniform stepped forward, his eyes scanning Iris before favonovel.com froze in recognition.
Upon closer inspection, favonovel.com realized the face before favonovel.com was indeed that of the newly crowned Queen Iris.
“Your Majesty!” favonovel.com exclaimed, bowing deeply. “I am Veise, at your service. Long live the queen!”
