After a brief inquiry, King Gawain I said nothing more. He issued a final ultimatum to the crown princes. “Confess and be treated leniently, or resist and face severe punishment!”
After the crown princes dispersed outside the palace, Prince Toby immediately pulled Rocco aside.
“Mr. Rocco, be honest. Was this your doing?”
“You know the skills of Father’s Ebony Eagles. There is no case in Montiria that they can’t solve.”
Toby’s urgent tone was filled with worry.
Rocco, however, remained calm and shook his head. “Your Highness, I’m not foolish… Besides, killing Lilia would bring me no benefit. I might even end up dying because of it. I wouldn’t be that reckless.”
Toby felt that Rocco had a point. It wasn’t worth dragging himself down into the abyss over a woman. So, favonovel.com breathed a sigh of relief.
“Good, as long as it wasn’t you…”
But as favonovel.com turned away, Rocco behind favonovel.com flashed a sinister smile.
Ebony Eagles, huh?
I wonder if you can see through the illusion I’ve set up!
“This is getting interesting…” Rocco mused to himself as favonovel.com brushed back his long hair.
Anyone familiar with favonovel.com would have been shocked to see favonovel.com using his left hand, given that Rocco was known to be right-handed.

On another front, the news of Lilia’s death spread quickly.
Matthew received the news the next day.
“Matthew, that woman never seemed like a good person. She even tried to seduce me before. It’s better that she’s dead. It will save us the trouble.”
Matthew rolled his eyes in response. “Lilia was a trusted subordinate of Prince Gadel. Her death means someone is stirring up trouble. We need to accelerate our preparations. How are the deployment arrangements in the cities of Skargness coming along?”
The crown prince fiddled with his computer, rapidly typing on the keyboard before turning the screen toward Matthew.
“With Blake providing support, we’ve got plenty of personnel now. But there’s a significant shortage of equipment.”
Matthew studied the deployment and surveillance map on the screen, quickly grasping the layout of Skargness. “What about the equipment depot in Hulwin?”
“Matthew, it’s not enough! Do you know how many combat personnel we have in the Martial League combat members now?” The crown prince tapped the keyboard, and a densely packed list of names appeared. “Sixty thousand, Matthew! And that’s after I halted recruitment. Otherwise, more retired combat units from the mainland would be heading here.”
“Even with ten rounds per person, we need six hundred thousand rounds. Despite confiscating a lot of loot, the shortfall is still huge.”
The sheer number made Matthew’s scalp tingle.
With Fitz’s return, Skargness had been reorganized. Under Kelvin’s oversight of the underground forces, immediate concerns were alleviated. However, securing equipment for sixty thousand people was a pressing issue.
“Matthew, you know our country has the strictest gun control laws in the world. Getting such a large amount of military supplies through the Martial League combat members headquarters could take a month, which we don’t have.”
“Wait!” Just as the crown prince was about to continue complaining, Matthew interrupted him.
“Why do we need to apply? Think about where we are right now!” A mischievous smile appeared on his face.
The crown prince’s eyes lit up. “Right, we can buy it! But we don’t have the channels.”
Matthew tapped the table and gazed into the distance. “Do you remember Martin, who was very close to the Keller Family?”
