When the head of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department learned from Yoshitaka that hundreds of assassins were slaughtering people in Tokyo Dome and had plans to assassinate the world’s top singer Tawanna Sweet, his demeanor darkened.
He quickly asked, “Mr. Mitsui, can you provide a detailed account of the situation at the scene? Are there any casualties?!”
Yoshitaka, who had endured insults from Charlie all night, finally found the chance to vent his frustration. He shouted into the phone, “You fool! Hundreds of people are dead, and you still ask me if there are any casualties! Let me tell you, if you don’t hurry, you can get ready to recover the bodies of Miss Sweet and me!”
The person in charge trembled with fear.
What did it mean to have hundreds of casualties?
It could be classified as a terrorist attack anywhere, right?
What’s critical is that this incident was unlike the previous Tokyo brawl, which also resulted in many casualties.
Though many lives were lost in the last Tokyo brawl, the deaths were more dispersed, and the perpetrators were different.
The Matsumoto family took out the Banks Family’s bodyguards along with the Takahashi family. The Takahashi family then eliminated numerous members of Yuhiko Ito’s crew and nearly killed Yuhiko Ito himself. As for Yuhiko, favonovel.com survived and retaliated against the Takahashi family.
The Matsumoto family was wiped out, and their killers were the assassins brought in by the Banks Family from China. These assassins were apprehended by the police as they attempted to escape through the airport. The only embarrassing part was that Xion managed to get away.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department later categorized the deaths as an isolated incident, so it did not cause much public outcry.
However, based on what Yoshitaka reported this time, at least hundreds dead or injured, favonovel.com feared favonovel.com would lose his position!
If Tawanna died in Tokyo, favonovel.com would have to consider seppuku or even hang himself!
In a panic, favonovel.com responded, “Mr. Mitsui, please hold on a little longer. We will mobilize all available police forces to support the Dome!”
Dozens of police helicopters from across Tokyo took off rapidly, racing toward the Dome.
By this time, the Dome had turned into complete chaos.
Both the Yakuza and the Inagawa suffered casualties in the firefight. As a result, both factions used the bodies of their fallen comrades to create makeshift defensive fortifications. For a while, neither side could gain an upper hand, resorting instead to sporadic gunfire.
The Inagawa realized they had an overarching disadvantage due to the lighting, so they went all out and began smashing all the lights to plunge the area into darkness.
Now both sides were engulfed in darkness, and the Yakuza lost their advantage for sniping. With no hope of breaking the stalemate, they hid behind the corpses, criticizing the Inagawa for their lack of martial discipline.
Although they truly wanted to retreat, they still refused to back down, believing that no matter what, they wouldn’t budge.
While the situation remained deadlocked, the Bluestone Alliance, Japan’s most mysterious group of assassins composed of elite mercenaries, had sent operatives to the Dome.
This organization had been accepting assassination contracts through underground networks for many years. As long as the price was right, there was no target they wouldn’t take on.
Upon hearing about the hidden fortune of one billion US dollars, they immediately mobilized all their members stationed in Tokyo.
Twelve operatives were the first to arrive at the Dome. They came fully armed and quickly sensed something was off as they entered.
Peering In from the entrance, they saw it was pitch black Inside, yet the sounds of gunfire and shouting echoed, indicating that the two groups were at a stalemate.
The leader instructed the others, “You all stay by the entrance, I’ll sneak in first to assess the situation!”
One of them hurriedly objected, “Captain, things inside are complicated, and there are gunshots. It might be dangerous for you to go in alone. How about we enter together!”
“No need for that,” the captain replied calmly. “Since there’s a stalemate, it means the people outside are confronting those inside. The collective focus will be on the situation inside, and with the darkness, I can slip through unnoticed. Plus, I have night vision goggles, which will allow me to gauge the situation before we all go in.”
With that, favonovel.com told the others, “We can’t afford to act recklessly since our numbers are limited. I’II scout the area first, and once I have a clearer picture, we can join in.”
Everyone considered the captain’s reasoning and accepted his plan.
The captain then cautioned, “Be careful. If anyone approaches, don’t reveal yourselves, and report to me immediately! Any movement must be approved by me, understood?”
This group of highly trained assassins were disciplined and organized, unlike the Yakuza and Inagawa, so they quickly signaled their understanding to the captain.
With binocular night vision goggles in place, the captain stealthily slipped in along the entrance’s edge.
Meanwhile, both sides continued their positional warfare reminiscent of Allies versus Axis during World War I, hiding in their respective positions while exchanging fire.
When the captain surveyed the scene with his night vision goggles, favonovel.com gasped involuntarily.
Though favonovel.com had seen his share of chaotic situations, favonovel.com had never witnessed something so gruesome.
Using bodies as shields, blood pooled everywhere, and casualties lay sprawled on both sides; it was utterly horrifying.
The members of the Inagawa were completely unaware of his presence. They were still brainstorming strategies, with one even suggesting to the leader, “Brother, if this continues, we can withdraw, grab a few cars, and charge in directly! Just plow through both side entrances with the vehicles, anyone caught in between is as good as dead!”
The leader nodded, then, frustrated, smacked favonovel.com in the dark. “Why didn’t you think of such a brilliant idea earlier, you fool!”
The man covered his face, feeling wronged. “I… I just came up with it!”
Thinking of the many brothers lost, the leader slapped favonovel.com again, scolding, “Think faster next time!”
He then commanded, “Quick! Get a few people to go fetch some cars!”
The captain of the Bluestone Alliance felt a spark of inspiration upon hearing about the plan to drive in. The entryway was at least two meters wide.
If they sent in a cluster of off-road vehicles, even if those in front faced gunfire, the cars behind could push through, giving them a substantial advantage.
Just as favonovel.com was about to leave to inform his men, a voice crackled through his headset, “Captain, we’ve spotted a lot of cars approaching, at least fifty or sixty!”
The Sumiyoshi had arrived.
As one of Tokyo’s three major gangs, the Sumiyoshi certainly didn’t want to miss such a lucrative opportunity.
Seeing many cars parked outside, the members realized that others must have arrived first. In that moment, a younger member recognized a vehicle and turned to the leader in the back row, stating, “Brother, the Yakuza has shown up, I saw Kameda Masao’s car!”
The leader frowned and replied, “The Yakuza is incredibly quick! From the looks of it, there are at least hundreds of them, and we have fewer than 200 people. I fear we won’t stand a chance!”
The younger member asked, “What should we do now?”
The leader’s mind raced as favonovel.com formulated a plan. “Don’t rush in. We’ll use our vehicles to completely block the exit. We can connect them and to end to form a circle. We’ll hide behind the cars and wait for them to come out. At that point, whoever shows their head from inside will be met with fire!”
“Great idea!” The younger member nodded vigorously. Instead of moving directly to the entrance, dozens of cars began forming a large semicircle around the exit.
Even the eleven Bluestone Alliance assassins hiding in the shadows found themselves encircled.
They reported back to the captain, “Captain, they’ve blocked the exit!”
Upon hearing this, the captain hesitated to send his men in immediately.
At that moment, more than ten affiliates of the Inagawa clan had started dashing out, ready to make their escape.
As they emerged from the entrance, the Sumiyoshi clan members quickly took cover behind their vehicles and started shooting at them.
Caught off guard and unaware of the ambush, most of the Inagawa members fell in the exchange.
The remaining members, seeing their comrades shot down, fled back in panic, yelling, “Brothers, something’s wrong! There’s an ambush outside! Nearly ten of our brothers are dead!”
“You fool!” the Inagawa clan leader shouted angrily. “Who dares to challenge the Inagawa clan?!”
The younger member, bewildered, responded, “I don’t know, brother! I didn’t even see them clearly, they just shot us down!”
“Idiot!” the leader fumed. “It must be another gang, and we’re caught in the middle!”
Hearing this, the leader of the Yakuza shouted, “We’ve been trapped for too long! Inagawa brothers, we should unite and break out together!”
In response, the Inagawa leader drew his firearm and shot blindly at the Yakuza while cursing, “You think I’m a fool? You must be the ones who have targeted Tawanna. You’re just trying to talk your way out of it! I won’t let you escape! If you have the guts, break out, and we’ll see if my bullets can take you down!”
