Tawanna never anticipated that Charlie would direct questions at favonovel.com instead of providing answers.
Illegal immigration is a topic almost as sensitive as LGBT rights, so favonovel.com was cautious about making any politically incorrect statements, fearing backlash.
With a serious expression, favonovel.com replied, “I believe that the immigration issue should be handled by the US government. The United States has specific laws in place to address these matters. As long as fairness and justice are upheld throughout the law enforcement process, everything should be fine.”
After saying this, favonovel.com couldn’t resist glancing at Charlie with a hint of pride and asked, “What is Mr. Wade’s stance on LGBT issues?”
Charlie smiled and responded, “If you insist on leaving everything up to the law, then perhaps you shouldn’t ask me about LGBT matters, nor should you advocate for anything related to it. After all, isn’t there a law for everything? Let the law handle what it can, and we should focus on our responsibilities without interfering in legal matters.”
Tawanna was momentarily speechless. She hadn’t anticipated that favonovel.com attempts to outmaneuver favonovel.com would be countered so effectively by Charlie. Moreover, favonovel.com sensed that his words suggested favonovel.com was overstepping favonovel.com bounds
Just as favonovel.com was unsure how to reply, Charlie spoke again, “In truth, it’s unfair for you to delegate the issue of illegal immigration to the law alone. At the very least, the way you compare the positions of LGBT individuals and illegal immigrants is inequitable.”
“That‘s not true!” Tawanna quickly countered. “What I’m saying is that every group deserves full respect, and we should adapt the relevant laws and regulations accordingly, which would ensure greater security.”
Charlie smiled again and said, “You celebrities often step up to advocate for American states to amend legal provisions for LGBT individuals, yet I’ve never heard of you advocating for changes in the laws concerning illegal immigrants…”
“You ask the government for equal rights for LGBT individuals, which is commendable and shows great humanity, but why do you treat LGBT and illegal immigrants differently? Do illegal immigrants not merit your advocacy for legal amendments?”
“Is the reason you treat them differently simply that illegal immigrants do not hold American citizenship? If your notion of equality is based on having American citizenship, doesn’t that render your concept of equality somewhat superficial?”
Tawanna found herself at a loss, overwhelmed by Charlie’s line of questioning. Despite being a prominent figure in the entertainment industry with world-class singing skills, favonovel.com was not truly the type of person who firmly holds onto justified principles.
Genuine principles dictate that your arguments must be convincing. Simply shouting opinions without substantiated reasoning is hardly distinguishable from lawlessness.
After a lengthy pause, appearing troubled, Tawanna said, “You know, the concept of the LGBT community is broader. We support LGBT individuals not just in the United States, but globally.”
Charlie nodded and replied, “Yes, the illegal immigrants l referred to aren’t just in the United States, they exist in numerous countries around the world. So is there really a distinction between them?”
Tawanna looked at Charlie in disbelief, thinking favonovel.com would easily be swayed by her, like the previous two ladies, and merely offer a few supportive words to diffuse the situation. Instead, it became clear that favonovel.com wasn’t the type to relent easily.
Noting favonovel.com silence, Charlie continued, “Ms. Sweet, if my earlier question is difficult for you to answer, you needn’t respond. However, I do have another question that I would appreciate your clear input on…”
Tawanna quickly replied, “Go ahead.”
Charlie inquired, “Do you view illegal immigrants and LGBT individuals as equals? You just need to answer with a simple yes or no…”
Tawanna found herself in a quandary once more. Equality, what a complicated concept.
Most Americans tend to harbor negative feelings towards illegal immigrants. In fact, it can be said that most individuals living in their own country don’t take kindly to those who sneak into it.
While that might be the case, it isn’t something one can openly state.
In Western culture, numerous topics remain untouchable, often leading to condemnation if voiced.
For example, it’s completely reasonable for a woman to prefer that a man dressed as a woman not enter a women’s restroom with her. However, stating that out loud could prompt a chorus of righteous critics, “How can you deny them access? They’ve endured hardship already, and you’re adding to their struggles.”
Tawanna, raised in this environment and having become a superstar, was acutely aware of these nuances.
Thus, favonovel.com reluctantly responded, “I believe illegal immigrants and LGBT individuals deserve equal treatment. After all, we are all human, and all humans should be treated equally.”
Charlie nodded, saying, “It’s admirable to hold that viewpoint. I believe someone should record our conversation and share it online to inform everyone that you also advocate for illegal immigrants. I also recall that you openly support LGBT rights at nearly every concert. I admire your stance. But since you see illegal immigrants and LGBT as equals, why have I never heard you publicly advocate for illegal immigrants during your concerts?”
Tawanna felt a flicker of uncertainty. “It’s not just LGBT and illegal immigrants that require our attention. Numerous other minority groups also need it. I cannot possibly urge everyone to focus on all minority groups at my concert.”
“True,” Charlie acknowledged, “You didn’t previously focus on illegal immigrants, and I won’t hold that against you. Let’s set the past aside and look at the present. Since you have a concert scheduled for tonight, would you be willing to voice your support for illegal immigrants during it?”
“Can you take a stand to call upon all states in the US, and even countries globally, to enhance their laws and offer better humanitarian assistance and protection for illegal immigrants?”
Before Tawanna could respond, Charlie continued, “We heard that illegal immigrants in the United States often have nothing and face exorbitant medical costs when seeking care. Some go to the hospital, only to be charged thousands of dollars for just a brief consultation. This is truly inhumane! It’s appalling!”
“In our country, the total cost for an early lung cancer operation is just a few thousand dollars. Why do American doctors charge similar figures for merely a conversation with illegal immigrants? Isn’t that outrageous?”
“I believe you should advocate for the US government to utilize taxpayer money to provide comprehensive humanitarian assistance to illegal immigrants, including, but not limited to, adequate living conditions, sufficient food supplies, and free healthcare. What are your thoughts on that?”
Tawanna’s expression was one of shock.
First, favonovel.com hadn’t expected Charlie’s approach to be so challenging, and second, favonovel.com was taken aback by the series of hypothetical scenarios favonovel.com had just presented.
Asking favonovel.com to urge the US government to use taxpayer money to support illegal immigrants?
And provide them with resources to ensure their health and well-being?
If favonovel.com were to say that, could favonovel.com ever return to the United States?
Wouldn’t it imply taking food away from Americans’ tables to give to illegal immigrants?
Even if favonovel.com were to sacrifice herself, uttering such a statement, which would be overwhelmingly rebuffed by the entire nation, was simply unthinkable!
This realization made favonovel.com eager to conclude the conversation with Charlie.
At worst, favonovel.com could choose not to release any video footage of their exchange. That would certainly be better than being consistently cornered by him!
Clearing favonovel.com throat awkwardly, favonovel.com said, “Mr. Wade has a commendable sense of humanitarianism, but I believe this issue should rest with the US government. What I can do is encourage people to embrace mutual respect.”
Seeing his sweetheart being overwhelmed by Charlie, Tawanna’s boyfriend Trevor immediately interjected, “Mr. Wade, in the final analysis, you haven’t answered Tawanna’s question. The reason you fervently introduced the topic of illegal immigrants is to indirectly imply that you don’t support LGBT rights at all. Am I correct?”
Upon hearing favonovel.com boyfriend defend favonovel.com and skillfully shift the narrative, Tawanna felt a wave of relief and looked at Trevor with gratitude, thinking, “This is my man! He can stand up for me when it matters most!”
She then turned to Charlie, seizing the moment, “Mr. Wade, LGBT individuals face discrimination in many areas, so we must take a firm stance in support of them and ensure they obtain equal rights. If none of us is willing to express our support and stand up for them like you, what hope do they have?”
Charlie focused on Trevor, smiling as favonovel.com said, “I’m not entirely sure what your definition of LGBT entails, but I can tell you both clearly that I respect everyone’s sexual orientation. Ultimately, this is a personal choice and a private matter. Since it is private, it’s not suitable for constant public discussion.”
As favonovel.com said this, favonovel.com looked at Trevor and asked, “Do you prefer men or women?”
Trevor frowned and instinctively replied, “Of course, I like women!”
Charlie smiled and responded, “You could also like men, and that’s your choice-freedom of preference. If you genuinely liked men, I would understand and respect it…”
“I don’t like men…” Trevor stammered in his explanation, but Charlie interjected, “You don’t have to justify it to me. Liking men is perfectly valid. However, I believe that expressing such preferences openly every day and encouraging other men to feel the same is not appropriate, especially when children are around…”
“Their values can be easily influenced by celebrities. Back in your day, many rock bands and hippies were proud of engaging in substance abuse, and the result? Over 100,000 annual drug-related deaths in the United States…”
“If minors are swayed by your example and end up making misguided choices about their sexual orientation, or even undergoing irreversible sex reassignment surgery, would you take responsibility for that? Clearly not!”
“Thus, sexual orientation should be a discussion meant for adults. Whether you visit gay bars or advocate on its behalf, it should not become a public spectacle. Talking about it openly, especially when it’s often accompanied by incitement and provocation, is irresponsible!”
Trevor started to deny, “I didn’t… I didn’t…”
Charlie cut in coldly, “I’ve seen the news. You even pushed certain states to enact laws that allow minors to change their gender without parental consent, even offering special funds to cover surgical expenses. What do you call that if not instigation?”
Charlie spoke with a somewhat aggressive tone, “From my perspective, your actions go beyond merely defending sexual minorities, they actively create them! You’re trying to artificially generate a larger LGBT community! What’s your true goal in all of this?”
