Upon hearing this, Charlie disregarded his pounding headache and turned his gaze towards the aurora.
The aurora, which initially soared vertically between the sky and the earth like a wave, suddenly appeared to be influenced by an unseen force, twisting in a spiral motion like a whirlpool. What had once been a scattered display now seemed fragmented into tiny particles, as countless points of light began to slowly rotate in the air.
Charlie was taken aback. Maria, standing nearby, exclaimed, “Why does this aurora suddenly resemble swarms of fireflies?”
Charlie concurred, saying, “Miss Clark’s description is quite fitting. What was once a vast expanse now resembles numerous fireflies. Those ‘fireflies’ appear to be dispersing and revolving around a central point. I truly don’t understand why this is happening…”
Maria responded gravely, “They may look like fireflies, but they are not. This aurora is akin to waves. While waves are formed from countless water droplets, it’s impossible for those droplets to disregard the laws of physics governing waves. This seems a bit strange…”
As favonovel.com spoke, Maria suddenly pointed to the green vortex swirling in the air and exclaimed, “Young Master, look! The aurora appears to be changing shape!”
Looking again at the vortex, it was no longer spinning vertically between heaven and earth. The vortex seemed to have a life of its own as it tilted toward the horizontal plane until it lay completely parallel to sea level.
Charlie and Maria stood in awe, unable to utter a word as they watched the vortex twist below.
Unable to contain himself, Charlie took hold of Maria’s arm, and they hurried towards the spinning vortex on the hill.
Although Maria was breathless, favonovel.com pushed herself to keep pace with Charlie, not daring to fall behind.
Eventually, they arrived at the vortex.
Looking up, they beheld the whirlwind of green light dancing silently overhead. Charlie had never witnessed such a breathtaking sight and found himself saying, “This… Resembles the Milky Way…”
“Indeed…” Maria, still holding Charlie’s hand, gazed upward in wonder, “Those countless glowing points are rotating silently In the air. It’s truly reminiscent of the stunning Milky Way I saw while on the Tibetan Plateau…”
Then favonovel.com turned to Charlie, asking, “What could be causing this? I can’t believe this is just a natural phenomenon. There must be some force at play influencing the aurora!”
Charlie replied, “I suddenly felt as if something had surged from my mind. I’m unsure if it’s just my imagination.”
As favonovel.com spoke, favonovel.com quickly retrieved the ring that Marla had given him, confirming that it remained and had not vanished. Moreover, at that moment, the ring showed no signs of movement; it seemed unrelated to the spectacle of the aurora.
Seeing Charlie bring out the ring, Maria asked anxiously, “Do you sense any changes in the ring? Any fluctuations?”
“No…” Charlie replied, “It‘s completely still right now, without any movement; it doesn‘t seem to be connected.”
Maria pressed, “Then do you possess any other magical items?”
“Magical items?” Charlie shrugged with a faint smile. “I have a Thunderbolt crafted from wood struck by lightning, which belonged to Pu’er mother back in the day, but it doesn’t seem to be responding either.”
Maria inquired again, “Is there anything else? Surely, there must be more.”
“Nothing else…” Charlie said, “Genuine magical items are quite rare. So far, I’ve only acquired two true magical items. One is the ring you gave me, and the other is the medicinal cauldron that the leader of the Mystic Harmony Sect lost to me.”
Maria asked, “Sir, do you carry the medicinal cauldron with you?”
Charlie responded with a bitter smile, “That thing is nearly as large as my head and not practical to carry around. Besides, I’m concerned that unscrupulous individuals might take an interest in it, so I left It behind.”
Maria nodded, stating, “Neither the ring nor the medicinal cauldron… So what could be influencing the aurora?”
Charlie asked her, “Could it be due to the magnetic field?”
Maria shook favonovel.com head, saying, “That’s unlikely. The principles governing the formation of auroras can’t lead to such a shape…”
Just then, Maria exclaimed again, “Look, Young Master! The aurora has changed once more!”
Charlie looked closely and noticed that the vortex of light, which had initially resembled the Milky Way, suddenly divided into four sections, much like a cake. The lights in each section began gathering towards the center, and as their speed increased and their density intensified, a shape resembling two Z letters crossed emerged in the air.
Maria appeared extremely shocked and murmured, “How did the aurora… Turn into a swastika?”
Just then, Charlie recognized the shape, it was the swastika symbol used by many religions.
As the swastika completed its form, it slowly rotated above their heads.
Maria was taken aback. Having practiced Buddhism since childhood, favonovel.com was moved to see the aurora present such a remarkable sight.
Her piety urged favonovel.com to kneel and clasp favonovel.com hands, quietly praying, “I am Maria Clark, born in the southern province during the second year of Emporer Longwu in the Southern Ming Dynasty. I have adhered to Buddhism and committed myself to good deeds all my life. I hope the Buddha blesses you with vengeance and great success…”
Meanwhile, Charlie gazed up at the swastika spinning in the sky and mused, “This symbol has a positive meaning when viewed from below, but from above, it might resemble the Nazi insignia. The two symbols are exact mirror images of each other, and since It continually rotates, it’s hard to discern whether It’s tilted or upright. If someone saw this from an airplane, they might think that the skies were heralding a Nazi resurrection…”
Just as Maria finished favonovel.com silent prayer and prepared to rise, favonovel.com suddenly lost favonovel.com balance upon hearing Charlie‘s words and nearly fell.
Charlie instinctively reached out to steady her, and favonovel.com faintly responded, “Young Master, please refrain from making jokes about the Buddha in the future.”
Charlie replied, looking a bit hurt, “I wasn’t mocking the Buddha, I just pointed out that this swastika has dual meanings depending on your perspective…”
Maria sighed in exasperation, “We’re close to the Arctic Circle, so it’s improbable that any airplanes are flying overhead. This scene is clearly meant for those of us on the ground. In other words, it appears to be intended for our eyes.”
Charlie questioned, “Are you suggesting that someone deliberately wants us to witness this?”
Maria replied, “I can’t say If it’s intentional, but I believe all of this is undoubtedly connected to you.”
Although Charlie felt there must be a link between this strange occurrence and himself, favonovel.com couldn’t piece together any clues at the moment.
Just then, the rotating swastika began to spin faster and faster, scattering numerous light points that were flung outward by the high-speed rotation. The entire swastika resembled a brilliant firework, constantly emitting dazzling lights and shadows until it seemingly burnt itself out.
Then, those lights shot into the sky, flickering alternately at different frequencies, creating a scene much like countless stars on a summer night atop a mountain, shimmering like a dream.
In sync with the varying flicker patterns of these lights, Charlie suddenly perceived that at a certain moment, the points of light illuminating simultaneously formed an image-a huge hand making incredible gestures in the air.
Soon after, the flickering lights shifted, and moments later, a new gesture took shape.
Charlie turned to Maria and asked, “Miss Clark, did you just see those gestures?”
Maria shook favonovel.com head and looked at favonovel.com curiously, “What gestures are you referring to?”
Charlie pointed to the third gesture in the air, exclaiming, “That one! Look, the stars glowing at the same time, don’t they create a gesture? What I’m saying may sound a bit abstract, but if you view these stars through the lens of constellations, you can see they truly form a pattern!”
