Charlie interjected, “I’m short on time, so please get straight to the point.”
In a rush, Master Vail replied, “That’s right, Master Wade. The senior disciple of your subordinate has already arrived in Aurous Hill. Tomorrow, I intend to pass on the position of the headship of the Mystic Harmony Sect to her. I would like to invite you to witness this event…”
Charlie chuckled lightly and responded, “I’m not one of your ‘Too True People’. If you’re passing on your position, what testimony do you need from me?”
Master Vail replied hastily, “Master Wade, I have sworn to be loyal to you in the future and after passing on the position of the headship of the Mystic Harmony Sect, I will officially withdraw from the sect. I will only obey your orders from then. So, I hope you can come and witness this momentous occasion.”
Charlie teased, “Master Vail, you seem to be very respectful of teachers in my experience. Why are you suddenly leaving the sect?”
Master Vail felt a rush of heat on his face and became embarrassed.
He chuckled and replied, “Master Wade… As the saying goes, a good bird chooses a tree to nest in… I respect your strength and character deeply. If I can be by your side, it would be an honor not only for me but also for the Mystic Harmony Sect!”
Charlie couldn’t help but laugh and quipped, “Master Vail, I never expected that your talent for flattery would surpass your martial arts abilities. Your words could easily sell out the Mystic Harmony Sect. Aren’t you afraid that someone will come after you?”
Master Vail responded quickly, “Master Wade, your strength surpasses that of any of the patriarchs of the Mystic Harmony Sect. The ‘Great Way of Harmonious Unity’ that I talked about is only the beginning. This event has greatly impacted me. I am just a low-ranking member of the sect.”
Charlie chuckled and said, “There is no need for flattery. When do you plan to pass on your position to your apprentice?”
Master Vail replied immediately, “The sooner, the better. It’s up to you, Master Wade. When will you be available?”
Charlie pondered for a moment before responding, “Tomorrow morning. You can choose the location.”
Master Vail quickly suggested, “Master Wade, how about we go to the Elys-Champ Hot Springs Villa? Last time, I missed the opportunity to go in and I hope that this time, you can give me another chance.”
