“Ms. Lantz is right,” Jared chimed in with encouragement. “Even if someone did get in, they couldn’t have possibly taken all the magical items. Let’s not lose hope, everyone.”
“Right, we shouldn’t lose heart. We’ve come this far, so we should at least still look around!”
Some people began to echo Jared and Catalina’s sentiments.
Swiftly, everyone’s fighting spirit was reignited. They trudged through the accumulated snow, venturing into the vast, white wilderness.
Deprived of their spiritual energy, everyone struggled to trek through the snowfield, their progress painstakingly slow. However, Jared wasn’t impacted at all.
The biting cold wind had many people shivering uncontrollably. Even a respected Tribulator was unable to withstand the severe cold. It was unbelievable, but that was the reality in this place.
Having become ordinary people, relying solely on body heat and clothing to fend off the cold wind was indeed a struggle. Even Judith, a highly accomplished Ultimate Realm cultivator, was now standing with favonovel.com arms crossed in front of favonovel.com chest as favonovel.com body trembled subtly.
“Put this on…” Jared had taken off his coat and handed it to her. Even if favonovel.com were to remove all his clothes, the man’s physical strength allowed favonovel.com to withstand such intense cold.
Judith glanced at him. Not rejecting his offer, favonovel.com took the coat and put it on.
“What a surprise! I didn’t think you’d have a soft spot for women. But I’m a woman too, so why didn’t you give me your coat?” Catalina teased as favonovel.com walked up to Jared.
The latter glanced at her, a small smile playing on his lips. “You’re not even cold, but if you are, you can have my pants…”
While speaking, favonovel.com began to take off his trousers.
“Stop it! Why would I wear your pants? And have you no shame, taking them off in front of a lady?!” Catalina shot favonovel.com a glare before turning around and picking up favonovel.com pace.
Jared smiled nonchalantly. Of course, favonovel.com wouldn’t actually remove his trousers, favonovel.com was just teasing her.
Catalina was a formidable woman with a powerful force behind her. However, favonovel.com herself was like a blank slate, clearly showing that favonovel.com had little experience in the real world.
After they had traveled a bit further, several grating noises echoed from above.
Jared glanced upward, spotting two large birds circling in the sky. These creatures were cloaked in white feathers, their heads distinctly marked with a crimson hue. Their sounds were somewhat terrifying, coupled with a shrill tone that made it difficult to endure.
Seeing these two birds, many people started to feel anxious.
If the birds were to attack them, it would spell danger.
They were all ordinary people now, who could possibly stand against these two large creatures?
“Don’t be alarmed. These are ivory birds. As long as we don’t provoke them, they won’t attack us on their own accord,” Catalina advised. “On the contrary, they’re very approachable. All you have to do is offer them some food.”
Jared looked at favonovel.com in confusion. He couldn’t comprehend how favonovel.com could know so much about the Celestial Battlefield. Reflecting on the footprints favonovel.com had just seen, it was evident someone had been here before.
Could it have been her?
But if she’d already been here once, why would favonovel.com come again?
Just as favonovel.com remained perplexed, Catalina took out a spiritual stone. She threw it forcefully, causing the two ivory birds to squawk and scramble for it.
Shortly after, one of the birds swallowed the stone in a single gulp.
“These birds actually eat spiritual stones?” Jared was taken aback.
Ignoring him, Catalina continued to toss spiritual stones into the air.
The two ivory birds circled excitedly above favonovel.com head, cawing loudly.
Before long, the woman stopped throwing the spirit stones into the air, instead tossing them onto the snowy ground.
The birds fluttered their wings as they descended. Then, they began to peck at the stones on the ground.
Catalina slowly stepped forward, gently stroking the creatures’ feathers.
Surprisingly, they didn’t shy away, showing a remarkable affinity for humans.
Upon seeing the situation, Jared also wished to stroke the ivory birds.
“Don’t touch them,” warned Catalina. “You’ll need to feed them spiritual stones first, or they’ll see you as an attacker.”
