Ventus’ body was fully exposed in front of everyone, his eyes wide open, and his face filled with terror. He simply couldn’t understand how Jared managed to destroy all the array runes on the statue, which numbered in the tens of thousands.
Could this guy really be a direct disciple of Elder Hellion?
Ventus clearly didn’t believe it. Jared was so young and couldn’t possibly be Hellion’s direct disciple. Besides, Elder Hellion was supposed to be in the celestial realm!
Even the first sect leader of the Sky Slasher Sect was nothing more than a disciple’s disciple of Hellion, and countless generations had passed since then.
Ventus had only claimed that the array runes on the statue were directly passed down by Hellion to make the statue seem more impressive.
In truth, the first sect leader of the Sky Slasher Sect had probably never met Hellion, let alone received his direct teachings!
“How… How did you manage to do it?” Ventus asked Jared, disbelief plastered across his face.
“I already told you, my array runes are the real ones directly passed down from Hellion. What you did was like teaching a fish to swim! Not only do I have Hellion’s array runes, but I also have divine markings.”
After speaking, Jared traced his finger in the air, and a divine marking appeared.
The divine marking floated toward Ventus, forming a net-like arcane array in mid-air.
Seeing this, Ventus was terrified. He tried to flee, but no matter how hard favonovel.com ran, the divine markings array followed favonovel.com relentlessly.
Soon, Ventus was completely enveloped by the arcane array, his body feeling as though it had fallen into a pit of molten lava, the searing sensation no less painful than being burned by the purest flames.
“Argh!” Ventus screamed, his body convulsing violently.
“Please, spare me! I’ll be at your beck and call!” Ventus begged Jared for mercy.
Jared remained unmoved. He had already been tricked by Ventus once and wasn’t about to fall into the same trap again. No matter how much Ventus pleaded, Jared stayed indifferent.
In the end, Ventus was burned alive by the divine markings array, his entire body reduced to a dried-out corpse.
With a wave of Jared’s hand, the formation dissipated, and Ventus’ body fell into the sea, where it was immediately devoured by demon beasts in the sea.
The Sky Slasher Sect’s leader was dead, just like that.
From this point on, there would be no more Sky Slasher Sect in the Ethereal Realm.
After eliminating Ventus, Jared descended slowly back onto the island. Looking at the many wounded alchemists, Jared said, “President Chance, I suggest we rest here on this island for a few days until everyone’s injuries have stabilized, and then we can head back on the spirit ship.”
“Okay, we’ll follow your lead in everything…” Wyatt nodded.
The group rested on the island for three days before boarding the spirit ship and sailing smoothly back to Epea.
Along the way, the usual storms in the stormy seas were nowhere to be seen.
During those days on the island and the journey back, Jared used the supplementary goldforge stones to significantly enhance his metal nascence.
Once they set foot back on the land of Epea, everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief.
After experiencing such a life-and-death situation, many of the alchemists probably wouldn’t dare venture into the deep sea again in their lifetimes.
“Mr. Chance, thank you so much for saving our lives this time. We’ll be heading back to the central region now. If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to ask!” Wyatt said gratefully to Jared.
Without him, none of the alchemists would’ve made it back alive.
“Yes, if you ever need our help, just say the word, and we’ll do everything we can,” the other alchemists chimed in.
They held immense respect for Jared.
“Friends, as fellow alchemists, it’s only right that we help each other out. But there is one thing I do need President Chance’s help with,” Jared said.
