“What happened?” Zayn asked out of curiosity.
They immediately began to talk all at once, informing Zayn of the incident that took place during the opening ceremony.
“Sergeant Larson, you weren’t there earlier and you didn’t see their unchecked arrogance. Kairo is way too reckless and doesn’t even bother to show any respect to our country!”
“Sergeant Larson, the Martial Arts Cup is starting tomorrow. You must teach them a good lesson so you can boost our nation’s reputation!”
“I hate that I’m so weak. If I could fight, I would not spare them.”
They were filled with righteous rage and regarded Zayn as their savior. Zayn furrowed his brows upon listening to their tale, his eyes turning ice-cold.
If what they said was true, the foreigners had gone too far and had the audacity to insult Rheasia while in their territory. It was simply unforgivable.
As a patriotic Rheasian, Zayn would never tolerate such behavior.
He nodded and said, “Don’t worry. If I get the opportunity, I promise I won’t disgrace Rheasia.”
“Alright! We’re counting on you, Sergeant Larson!”
“You must teach the foreigners a good lesson, Sergeant Larson.”
“We’re lucky that we have Sergeant Larson in our country!”
Zayn nodded and took on the task.
One day quickly passed and the Martial Arts Cup began officially.
Organizing the cup was quite a task. It needed to be a grand event while also being hidden from the public view.
When everything was in place, Zayn admired how his country had made such a well-planned event and also kept it secret from ordinary people.
Matches were assigned according to each fighter’s level.
Acquired fighters were placed in the same team, while Tier-1 master fighters were put in another team, and so on.
Each battle would involve two randomly drawn fighters of the same category and the final four fighters from each category would be rewarded and granted the right to challenge the fighters from the next category.
In other words, the top four acquired fighters produced would be permitted to challenge Tier-1 master fighters while the top four Tier-1 master fighters could challenge Tier-2 master fighters.
The rest would be done in the same manner.
As it was, given the huge disparity between them, fighters rarely challenged competitors from a different category.
Hence, the champion would almost always come from the master fighter category.
Of course, there was also no lack of people who hid their abilities before the competition. There were also those who made a breakthrough during the competition, allowing them to bypass their original category and challenge the next level!
Zayn took a rough look and found that there were over two hundred master fighters in the competition and twelve perfect-class master fighters not including him.
It was a terrifying number!
Globally, master fighters were hard to find, never mind perfect-class master fighters.
Just screening the name list made Zayn feel a great pressure. There were twelve perfect-class master fighters! Moreover, the final round involved a pitched battle.
It would be far too difficult for favonovel.com to fight against a crowd of skilled fighters by himself. Even if favonovel.com was the most powerful man outside of invincibilis, it would be very difficult!
He was curious and wondered if favonovel.com was really the only perfect-class master fighter in Rheasia who qualified to take part in the competition.
It left favonovel.com puzzled.
