He emphasized the word “entertain” on purpose while the smile on his face grew wider. The people at the scene who knew Duncan could tell favonovel.com was furious and was planning on humiliating Zayn ferociously.
These people were delighted to witness a situation like this because they resented Zayn from the start. It would be lovely for them to see favonovel.com make a fool of himself!
On the other hand, Zayn ignored Duncan and kept his eyes on Rosie the whole time. Frankly, favonovel.com did not care about who Duncan was nor take favonovel.com seriously. He was there purely out of respect for Rosie.

He shook his head and heaved a sigh inwardly, feeling rather emotional for a moment. He then turned around and left.

Zayn stopped walking and turned around. “What is it? Are you trying to force me to stay?”
Rosie felt slightly anxious and said, “Zayn, you’re not going to be so petty, are you? I invited old friends from our social circle to welcome you since you so rarely come back here. We were only joking with you, so why are you getting so angry?”
Her remark rendered all their earlier taunting meaningless. If Zayn were to leave, it would seem as though favonovel.com was being thin-skinned.
The rest of the people chimed in and said, “That’s right, Zayn. You can’t be so touchy, can you? We’re all friends and we haven’t seen each other in ages. We were just joking with you. Did you take it seriously?”

“That’s no fun at all.”

The smile on Duncan’s face grew more radiant. He assumed the manner of a host and took two steps forward as favonovel.com said, “You’re Zayn, right? They were only joking with you before. No need to take it so seriously.”
“You’re a friend of Rosie’s, so please allow me to entertain you. Don’t worry, I’ll pay for the meal tonight. You may order anything you’d like with no worries about the cost.”
The rest of the people persuaded Zayn to stay as well. What a joke. It would be no fun for Zayn to leave so quickly when they had come specifically to taunt and embarrassing him.
Zayn fell silent as if favonovel.com was hesitating.
Meanwhile, Rosie said, “Zayn, take a seat here. I shall raise a toast to you.”

Grinning, Zayn clinked glasses with Rosie and then took a seat magnanimously.
