Zayn cracked a cynical smile upon observing the whole thing and walked over to the entrance in long strides.
“Oh, you’re finally home, Zayn. It’s raining today and what a good sign that is. I’m certain that your grandpa will be pleased to know that you’re back with the family. Hah-hah-hah. ” Jordan hurriedly picked up an umbrella that favonovel.com held for Zayn upon noticing his arrival.

He had no idea that Zayn was disgusted by him.
Zayn refused to pay attention to Jordan and said, “There’s no need for you to put in so much effort anymore. I came back today just for Grandpa’s memorial, and I’ll leave when the ceremony is over.”
Following his remark, the atmosphere at the scene became slightly awkward.

The uncle said, “We need you to come back and save the family. You’re a member of the Larsons after all. You can’t just do nothing while you see us declining day by day.”
“We used to be the most powerful family in Waltz City and had countless people admiring us. Yet, ever since you left, the family has been on the wane, and now the title of the most powerful family has been seized by the Carter’s. It shouldn’t be!”
“The Carters are just a low-class family. Zayn, you have no idea what the outsiders are saying behind your back. They called you ungrateful and that you would rather support your wife’s family than your own!”
He made the remark so ruthlessly and insinuated that Zayn owed the Larsons something.
Following that, the remaining elders of the family began to take advantage of their seniority and lecture Zayn.
