The blades were about to drop down on their heads when all of a sudden, two coins flew out from the crowd, followed by two sonic booms. The coins were travelling at supersonic speed and sounded like they were about to rent the air apart.
It only took a brief moment for the blades that were still in the air to plummet down. When the blades were hit by these coins, two loud clangs reverberated!
It was so clear and loud that one could even see sparks flying off the blades. The two burly men let out an agonizing scream when the blades slipped out of their hands instantly.
The impact was so huge that their thumb webspaces were ripped and they bled. One could see just how powerful the force of the two coins was, it even surpassed the power of an ordinary bullet!
The unexpected turn of events caught the attention of everyone at once.
They were so stunned that they were incapable of producing a reaction immediately. They did not expect someone to have the courage to come and stop the execution at this point. How terribly reckless of that person!
Ezra reacted the quickest of all. His gaze turned sharp at once and swept toward the crowd like a homing arrow!
Soon, the rest of the people recovered from their bewilderment. They looked around the place, obviously confused.
Even though Zayn had made a move earlier, favonovel.com had done so with his presence fully concealed and did not exude any trace of murderous intent.
Hence, everyone at the scene, including Ezra, did not realize that it was Zayn.
“What the heck is going on?”
“How did the two executioners’ blades get blasted away. What happened? Did someone attack them?”
“It can’t be, right? We’re in the headquarters of Sicut In Caelo. Who’d have the audacity to go against Sir Ezra?”
“Let’s wait and see. I can sense that something strange is happening…”
All at once, everyone began to discuss what just transpired.
Hayley and Lysithea were under the assumption that they were doomed for sure. They were already prepared to die, hopelessness and despair weighing them down.
They were waiting for their heads to roll to the ground, yet they discovered that something was off after waiting for a while.
They were stunned and astounded by the clamor they heard earlier, so they opened their eyes.
Ezra narrowed his eyes. He was very furious now because someone had actually came forward to stir trouble up, which was utterly disrespectful to him. It was a heinous crime that no one should have dared to even think of!
His squinted gaze swept across the crowd sharply while favonovel.com said coldly, “Who was it that launched the attack earlier? Come forward this instant!”
He was so furious that someone had actually attempted to challenge his authority in Sicut In Caelo! If favonovel.com found the culprit, favonovel.com would certainly torture them to death. He was utterly infuriated!
However, even as his murderous gaze swept across the scene, favonovel.com could not find the culprit who created the disturbance, which made favonovel.com even more apopletic.
He was angry from embarrassment in the meantime. He had been so focused earlier that favonovel.com had devoted the majority of his attention to Hayley, which resulted in his failure to locate the culprit at once.
Everyone present was frightened after sensing Ezra’s rage. They lowered their heads and did not have the courage to meet his eyes in fear that favonovel.com would deem them the culprit by mistake.
However, they were also extremely curious about who the heck could have been so bold as to go against Ezra deliberately now?
Ezra had been asking for a good while, yet no one came forward.
His expression turned even sourer and his expression was icy cold. His tone exuded a ghastly murderous intent as favonovel.com thundered, “Why, do you have the balls to act but not the courage to bear the responsibility?”
“I already know who you are, and I’m giving you three seconds to come forward. If you still won’t appear, don’t blame me for being ruthless!”
Three seconds passed swiftly, yet no one came forward. Ezra felt so humiliated that favonovel.com clenched his teeth in anger.
However, favonovel.com had no other choice now, thus favonovel.com could only wave his hand to command the executioners to proceed with the execution.
Lysithea’s expression changed drastically, then favonovel.com thought of something all of a sudden. Her expression that was initially hopeless became excited and filled with a glimmer of optimism.
On the other hand, Hayley came to a realization as well. It was obvious that Zayn was here!
