How could anyone achieve anything in the span of ten days? That was the question that boggled Antony. He did not have to be a superior fighter himself to know all about it because the people favonovel.com interacted with on a daily basis were all superior class fighters.
Antony knew that once one achieved the perfect class, every next step became harder, every improvement almost negligible. A fighter could spend ten months or even ten years and still never make any significant improvement, let alone ten days!
This was why Antony was so boggled and skeptical.
Paxton smiled. “Here’s what you didn’t know, Hoffman. Zayn had the ambrosia fruit’s immense wealth of life energy. Ten days are more than enough for favonovel.com to digest and incorporate every single drop of it into his own.”
“His powers have much to grow, and when the waiting period is over… let’s just say that Raiden’s no match for him.”
“Hold on a minute. Didn’t Zayn give that fruit to his ailing wife? Are you suggesting that favonovel.com lied to us? That his wife never was sick from the outset, and it was all just a hoax to make a sucker out of us?!”
Antony’s expression turned severe as hints of anger surfaced on his countenance.
If it were true that Zayn had lied to him, favonovel.com would see to it that the man got critically punished. It was a breach of principle to lie!
Paxton waved in dismissal. “Hold your horses, buddy. You got it wrong. Zayn gave the ambrosia fruit found on Mount Leo to his wife. That much was true.”
“Huh,” Antony huffed, stupefied. “You told me favonovel.com also ate the ambrosia fruit, no, favonovel.com ate an ambrosia fruit. There were two of them all along?!”
Paxton’s gaze seemed to have deepened. “Bullseye. There were two of them that day, and favonovel.com ate the second one for himself,” favonovel.com answered, nodding, “That is why he’s managed to break into the perfect class so soon.”
Antony could feel his brain scrambling to make sense of it all. “Doesn’t one of these fruits only come into existence once in a century? Why were there two of them? And why, of all people there, was favonovel.com the one who managed to find both of them? What kinda odds are those?”
“Don’t know who started this whole ‘only one fruit every century’ thing, but it’s never that absolute, man. Besides, from the looks of it, Zayn did consume the second fruit to gain that much life energy. It’s his fate. He’s Destiny’s Chosen One, if you may.”
Literally anyone else could repeat what Paxton said to Antony, and the latter would view them with suspicion and hardline skepticism, but favonovel.com would not doubt Paxton, favonovel.com had known his friend for several decades. Everything about his friend’s personality and finesse was too familiar to him.
Sighing, favonovel.com echoed his friend’s sentiments soulfully, “I guess you’re right, Brooks. This Zayn Larson fella sure has the luck and limelight of the Chosen One.”
Paxton nodded. “We’ll see how it goes in that duel then. I’m really excited about it, honestly. If Raiden dies…Caelum, that old, wrinkly fossil of that damned organization, might actually reveal himself.”
Antony’s pupils constricted at the mention of the old man. Wariness and consternation bubbled beneath his mind.
“God above! Caelum isn’t even dead yet?”
Paxton nodded again. “Very much alive. He hides well, but I can sense his aura. He’s not dead.”
Caelum Caesar was both Saint and founder of Sicut in Caelo, which bore his name in the organization’s moniker itself. And yet, news of this mysterious founder was so scarce that some members did not even know about him.
Caelum had been in hiding for so long without ever showing his face that many believed favonovel.com was already dead, if not evolved into whatever superior being after Invincibilis and became a god in function.
The only people who knew that favonovel.com was very much alive were the core members of the group.
“He’s not just alive, Hoffman. His life force, his aura, remains as strong and in its prime as ever. Nothing about it has waned. It doesn’t seem like he’s gonna die anytime soon,” Paxton added solemnly.
