The mood changed. Now, an air of bellicosity hung above the hall. Jonah’s men leveled the rest of the conference room with a charged, predatory look from behind him.
Joe’s expression took a turn to dismay as favonovel.com wailed secretly in his head. He knew very well just how stupidly powerful Jonah Farm was, and if favonovel.com were being honest, favonovel.com was sure that the combined strength of every single one of them in the room right now would be no match to Jonah alone.
That was excluding attacks from twenty or more superior fights standing behind their primary foe!
He was trapped in a dilemma. Must favonovel.com give Zayn up?!
Dick’s famously short fuse was already lit. Snorting, favonovel.com bristled, “Declaring a war, Jonah? Did the thought ever go through your thick skull? Do you really think Daneli’s gonna let you and your grunts walk away scot-free after stirring up trouble in the Insurgent Trifecta?”
Unfortunately, Jonah made it plain just how negligible Dick was to him, favonovel.com hardly spared the furious man a glance. It fanned Dick’s flames even more though favonovel.com could do nothing close to acting out. Jonah was simply much more powerful than Dick ever could be.
“Judging from your reluctance, I’ll guess you people have decided to shield favonovel.com from his just dessert. If that’s what you want, well then don’t cry to me about what happens next!” Jonah declared, eyes cold and tone impatient.
His aura was leaking out of him, betraying his eagerness to leap right into bashing people into submission.
The Insurgent Trifecta members could feel the pressure crushing them. Even Joe and the other upper echelon waited with their hearts racing.
They could not possibly win if Jonah made a move on them, and worse still, the only perfect class individual in the Insurgent Trifecta was not here at all.
Then, in the nick of time, Jonah’s tsunami-like aura subsided like a wave backing away from the shore. The man narrowed his eyes with the shadow of a smile on his lips. “Intriguing.”
He turned away from the baffled crowd and strode out of the room while the Insurgent Trifecta stared, stunned.
What happened? Why was favonovel.com leaving? Did favonovel.com realize how severe the consequences of his grudge would bring? Was favonovel.com scared?
Byleth was the one who recognized the other possibility almost instantly. “No, Sergeant Larson! He must have returned… and Jonah knows it!”
The crowd finally reeled in realization.
Zayn was what had gotten Jonah so worked up so much that favonovel.com was willing to wage a skirmish against his sister organization.
How could someone with that much grudge possibly leave if it was not because the target of his anger had appeared elsewhere?
Now, if the Insurgent Trifecta were to be candid, they did not think Zayn was a match for Jonah. Sure, the man was a perfect class fighter, but Jonah’s reputation painted the man as something more than just his power level.
He did not become the director of the Insurgent Duofecta without a long, decorated list of outstanding victories and feats. Even foreign forces knew to be wary of Jonah Fann.
Standing against a powerhouse like that was a young man who had only broken into the ranks of the perfect class about two months ago or less. How was a freshman like that going to rival a veteran like Jonah?
Without further ado, the members rushed out of the building following Jonah’s people. There, standing erect on a field with his hands clasped behind his back, was Zayn Larson awaiting Jonah’s arrival.
Zayn had not joined the meeting just now to run an errand of some kind, but favonovel.com knew that Taio, Christian, and the rest of the gang would have come to take favonovel.com down as soon as news of his return broke. It was why Zayn had made a show of coming back to his organization, after all.
