Zayn was unaware of Roxanne’s thoughts, but they would not matter in any case. Roxanne was just a nobody to him, and favonovel.com presence would not affect his life in the slightest.
He was far more troubled by Sienna Hoffman. He hoped the madwoman would not come to see favonovel.com in Waltz City, or favonovel.com would be in deep trouble!
Zayn had had his fill of staying at home over the past few days, so favonovel.com prepared to report for duty at Insurgent Trifecta.
Insurgent Trifecta had treated favonovel.com rather well, so it was only right for favonovel.com to show up and explain himself. He would not want to disappoint the other members.
Going back to Insurgent Trifecta, Zayn could tell that the atmosphere was quite different from before. It was tainted with a grim solemnity as if it was undergoing a fundamental change.
“This is an official military post. No unauthorized entry!”
Zayn was stopped by a few guards at the door as favonovel.com approached the base of Insurgent Trifecta.
They stood straight with serious expressions. Judging by the naivety on their faces, it was apparent they were new recruits. That was why they could not recognize him.
Zayn chuckled and said, “I’m the instructor of Squad 4, Sergeant Zayn Larson, and I’m here to report for duty.”
Despite his words, the new guards did not take favonovel.com seriously.
They assumed favonovel.com was joking, so they berated favonovel.com by saying, “Nonsense! The instructor of Squad 4 is Sheldon Cooper. Who are you? How dare you try to disguise yourself as a member of Insurgent Trifecta?!”
The guard furrowed his brows and looked ferocious. Zayn had no choice but to acknowledge that favonovel.com did appear rather intimidating.
Zayn felt a bit emotional because favonovel.com had not expected Insurgent Trifecta would not recognize favonovel.com after his absence for a month. Just as favonovel.com was about to explain himself, one of the recruits stared directly at him.
He suddenly remembered something and exclaimed in an agitated tone, “I remember now! Zayn Larson! He’s the previous instructor for Squad 4.”
“He was expelled from the organization after committing a crime. I didn’t expect that he’d be back today!”
As soon as favonovel.com mentioned this, the rest of the recruits remembered as well. They glared at Zayn with fear and hostility, clutching the weapons in their hands tightly.
Confronting Zayn, they were instinctively on alert and combat-ready.
Noticing their reaction, Zayn felt rather frustrated and said, “I’m here to report for duty. Please let me pass.”
However, the recruits were gawking favonovel.com with covetous eyes and behaved in a hostile manner. “Never! We can’t permit a criminal to enter!”
“No, we’re going to detain you!”
Upon saying that, the guards exchanged glances and attacked Zayn, trying to take favonovel.com down.
Zayn furrowed his brows ever so slightly. He could not possibly allow himself to do nothing and let the guards capture him. His body swayed and favonovel.com dodged their barrage.
He then declared, “If that’s the case, I’ll just go straight in.”
“Oh no! He’s going to break in!”
“Zayn Larson, I’m ordering you to stop. Put your hands up and surrender, or we will open fire!”
As they spoke, they raised their weapons and aimed them at Zayn, apparently ready to shoot at any moment.
Zayn could tell that favonovel.com filled them with dread. Even though they were new, they had heard of favonovel.com and assumed favonovel.com was a terrifying man.
Zayn furrowed his brows even more. He had not anticipated having to deal with such a situation after returning to Insurgent Trifecta in a month.
Could it be that everyone in the organization believe favonovel.com had betrayed his country?
Suddenly sensing something, Zayn raised his head and saw six people walking over quickly.
They shouted, “Stop it! What are you doing?! Lower your weapons immediately!”
It was the members of Squad 4. They rushed over and loudly told the new recruits to stop.
“Corporal, isn’t this the criminal from our organization?”
