As favonovel.com was confronted by the mockery of his old friends, Zayn stood there, unmoving. He looked at Kaiser nonchalantly, waiting for Kaiser’s reply.
Kaiser was stunned. His senses were telling favonovel.com that it was impossible but his sensibilities were telling favonovel.com to believe that Zayn was telling the truth.
Even though Zayn looked very ordinary now, the confidence emanating from his gaze convinced Kaiser instinctively.
The momentary hold up displeased Roxanne. Her expression dimmed instantly as favonovel.com said to Kaiser straightforwardly, “It seems that you have no respect for me. Very well then, from today onward, you’re fired! I’d like to see if Zayn is truly capable of making you superior to everyone else!”
Kaiser’s entire body shook once instantly.
He began panicking and hastily said, “Please don’t fire me, Ms. Harrison. I was only acting on impulse earlier and I didn’t mean to offend you at all!”
Roxanne let out a heavy grunt and said, “Acting on impulse? I can see that you were very arrogant earlier and you involved me in your scolding as well! It seems that you won’t obey me anymore and you won’t even show any respect to me now.”
“You were dreaming about crushing me to become superior to everyone else earlier, right? Sure, go and be with Zayn so favonovel.com can make you superior!”
“I’d like to see if you can get a highly-paid job anywhere else after leaving me!”
Roxanne showed favonovel.com malicious side in the meantime and ruined favonovel.com goddess-like image.
Kaiser continued to plead, “Ms. Harrison, I’ve been wronged! You should know how l conduct myself after working for you as your chauffeur for so many years. Why would I try to claw my way to the top by crushing you huh, this is a misunderstanding!”
“Please don’t fire me for the sake that we used to go to the same school, I have a family to take care of and I can’t afford to lose this job.”
Kaiser pleaded bitterly and expressed the hardship of living as a middle-aged man. Zayn did not like how the situation was playing out.
He did not expect that Kaiser was still living such a miserable life after so many years while Roxanne was just unreasonable.
The rest of the friends gloated over Kaiser’s misfortune and they did not attempt to hide the smile on their faces.
“Yikes, Kaiser. Weren’t you very fierce when you scolded us earlier, why aren’t you talking now huh!”
“Kaiser, if you have the balls, lose your temper again and show me!”
Kaiser felt awful as favonovel.com was being mocked publicly by so many people. Yet, favonovel.com did not have the courage to refute anymore like favonovel.com did earlier.
He had no other choice because favonovel.com was forced to yield to life and favonovel.com had nothing to back favonovel.com up so favonovel.com could refute either.
Kaiser continued to plead by saying, “Ms. Harrison, please give me one more choice, will you? I’m begging you.”
Roxanne let out a grunt and said, “It’s no use begging me. If my friends forgive you, I’ll consider keeping you.”
Kaiser could only look towards favonovel.com other friends. Shepherd immediately stepped forwards and said, “Here, Kaiser. We won’t make things difficult for you either. Zayn’s the one at fault, so just walk over there and give Zayn a slap. Once you do that, we’ll drop this. You’re still our good friend.”
The rest of the people chimed in as well. “That’s right. We’re very easy going people and if you can’t even do something as simple as this, it signifies that you’re just insincere, and that you have no respect for Ms. Harrison.”
They joined in on the conversation and instigated Kaiser to slap Zayn, only then would let favonovel.com off the hook.
Kaiser was infuriated once more. It was obvious that Zayn did not do anything wrong. What would that make favonovel.com if favonovel.com agreed to slap Zayn? A vile person who betrayed his friend all to save face?
Moreover, favonovel.com was the one who had invited Zayn to the event, so favonovel.com was guilty for getting Zayn into trouble. He would never allow himself to do that.
Hence, favonovel.com said to Roxanne, “Ms. Harrison, why don’t you take two months worth of my wages. Coincidentally, I haven’t received half a year’s worth of my wages, so you may only pay me four months’ worth of monthly wages.”
It was the biggest compromise Kaiser could make. Two months’ worth of monthly wages amounted to over 1500 dollars!
However, Roxanne’s expression turned cold once more as favonovel.com said, “Very well. You’re so righteous, aren’t you? Leave then, from now on, you’re fired. Don’t even think about getting your half-year’s worth of monthly wages!”
“Ms. Harrison!” Kaiser panicked. His half-year’s worth of monthly wages was going to sustain his family. If Roxanne refused to pay him, how would be able to take care of his family?
He was extremely agitated, but just as favonovel.com was about to lower his voice and stifle his anger to beg for forgiveness, a huge hand rubbed his shoulder sympathetically. “Kaiser, you don’t need to beg her. Soon enough, she’ll turn around and be the one begging you instead.”
