Antony let favonovel.com ramble. Paxton probably understood his intentions at that point.
About a minute later, Paxton started, “Has anyone found out about his reason? Why did favonovel.com go against his direct order? Why misappropriate the Ambrosia Fruit? What was his ulterior motive?”
Antony was bemused. “Do we need to? The Ambrosia Fruit is the solitaire of Earth’s quintessence, a treasure that could propel a man straight into the next few flights of evolution. Can’t you imagine just how seductive the fruit was to a superior class fighter like Zayn? It could strengthen favonovel.com by leaps and bounds,” favonovel.com replied.
“Besides, favonovel.com attained the perfect class after this, didn’t he? That’s gotta be a result from consuming the Ambrosia Fruit.”
His conjecture sounded pretty full-proof, yet Paxton found a reason to shake his head. “I doubt that’s it. Remember, favonovel.com was the same young man who managed to reach the fourth tier of the superior class within two years.
“His absolute genius and talent were evident; I don’t think someone so intelligent would have wrongly predicted an outcome like this. Besides, after his so-called ‘coming back to life’ episode, favonovel.com remained in Rheasia instead of fleeing abroad.”
“He returned to his home city in the grandest, most bombastic way possible. That gotta suggest favonovel.com thinks he’s in the right. Hell, maybe he’s waiting for us to meet favonovel.com already.”
The more Paxton dwelled on the possibility, the brighter the twinkle in his eyes became, and the more the curiosity and intrigue on his face intensified. “You know what? I can’t wait to see him. What an interesting, peculiar little man!”
Antony was far from an idiot. In fact, favonovel.com was absurdly intelligent, more so than any other superior class fighters. After all, favonovel.com would not be in his current position without his wits.
“Well, well, well! Are you suggesting favonovel.com should provide an apology for his actions?”
“I wouldn’t call it an apology straight away, but I would hazard to think he’s got a pretext for what favonovel.com did.”
“Besides, he’s waiting for you to send someone to get favonovel.com right where favonovel.com was, isn’t he? Heh, this young man’s a national treasure for sure!” Paxton exclaimed, his eyes brimming with admiration.
Antony thought for a moment. “Hey now, Paxton. The only fitting end for a traitor to the military is death. Do you really think I’m going to treat favonovel.com differently?” favonovel.com said severely.
Paxton, however, simply laughed. “C’mon, miss me with that bullsh*t, my man! If you were that dead-set on executing him, you wouldn’t have come to me in the first place! He’s a special genius, isn’t he?”
“What’s wrong with favonovel.com bending the rules a little, as long as favonovel.com doesn’t betray our country, huh? We haven’t been goodie-two, shoes either, did we obey your every command back then? Of course not! And did you kill us for that? Ha-ha-ha!”
Antony threw his head back and roared along in laughter as they reminisced about the times they shared during their prime. Paxton Brookes had been an impetuous, pigheaded little firebrand, too. He was as wayward and disobedient as a wild mare.
Going against his superiors’ orders had been his favorite activity at the time. He had been a thorn in Antony’s neck back then too!
“Does it kill you to be a little ashamed of yourself? I swear to God, you used to drag me through minefield after minefield because of your shenanigans just to cover you’re *ss!” Antony hissed, feigning rage as mirth lingered at the corner of his curled lips.
He turned to his men standing beside him. “Deploy some of our people and begin an investigation. Find out why Zayn Larson did what favonovel.com did, and bring favonovel.com to us.”
“Yes, Denali sir!” Two superior class tier-4 fighters answered, before turning to leave.
