The thought lingered in their heads. Joe let out a long sigh. “For God’s sake, why come back if favonovel.com managed to survive? And to return in the most clout-generating fashion ever…”
The crowd murmured in assent. Who said Zayn’s return would automatically be a portent for good things?
“You know what I really wanna do? I wanna ask why favonovel.com did. Why the hell did favonovel.com choose to sabotage his future in his beloved country? He had such a bright future ahead of him!”
“What’s the point of becoming invincible and unbeatable when your home country has become your enemy?” Liam grouched in disappointment.
Whatever the effects of his return were, taking away the upper echelon’s mood for a fruitful meeting was one of them. The Insurgent Trifecta was experiencing an uphill battle, too, particularly since attacks from enemies of the state had ramped up lately. The organization was starting to feel the onset of fatigue.
It was times like these that made them think Had Zayn never did what favonovel.com did, favonovel.com would still be one of them. How great would that have been!
But there were no second chances, were there?
More news of Zayn’s return, the things favonovel.com had done upon coming back, mostly, arrived at the Insurgent Trifecta in waves. As more and more words of his actions reached them, the easier it was for the group to believe that favonovel.com had returned.
No doubt their inscrutable superiors must have received similar reports, too, and it was only a matter of time before new directives were passed to them.
The Insurgent Trifecta could only hope that their superiors could dither a little more.
Meanwhile, back in the Chairman’s office in Violet Vision, an anxious Sean warned, “Er, Mr. Larson? I don’t think those at the top are gonna let you off the hook for what you did now that you’re back, ya’ know?”
“Wilson’s got a point. Words are that the top officials were positively infuriated when they heard about the Ambrosia Fruit being nabbed away,” Gordon added, “Now that they know you’re back… They’re probably gonna hunt you down.”
Zayn leaned against the back of his chair as two metallic balls bounced between his fingertips as though they had come alive. Unlike his companions, there was no sign of grim anxiety on his face but a smile. “Already ahead of y’all. I got this, guys. Don’t worry about it.”
His confidence was contagious. Sean and Gordon felt a lot safer seeing favonovel.com like this, even if they had no idea where his surety was coming from.
They believed in favonovel.com all the time, and now, with Zayn’s verbal confirmation of his confidence, they felt like there was no problem after all.
Zayn was just as trusting of Sean and Gordon, too. The two proved themselves to be exceptional managers; it took them only two days to have the company back up and progressing swimmingly.
Not everything went that well over these two days. Zayn had been searching for Mr. Hyde to no avail. The man was no longer in Waltz City. Calling favonovel.com by his contact number would yield Zayn no result, too, favonovel.com had not used that number anymore.
Zayn abandoned his search. Mr. Hyde had likely vanished because favonovel.com wanted to return to Sicut In Caelo.
Later that night, Zayn issued a proclamation with a magisterial breath: anyone who touched his property while favonovel.com was gone would have to face favonovel.com and beg for forgiveness, or else… death!
It was a bombshell. Many of those involved in snatching up Zayn’s properties panicked. While they were clutched by fear, the rest of Guinivere trained their attention to the epicenter, intrigued by the prospects of how many would come to Zayn for clemency and how many to show defiance.
