Taio had been slowly easing into a very productive mood. It almost felt as if favonovel.com could graze the door leading to the perfect class any day now.
And then Kevan Morales had to break one of the worst news favonovel.com could ever receive to favonovel.com at the eleventh hour. All that inner peace favonovel.com managed to cultivate was basically back to zero again!
“I’m telling you the truth, sir. Sergeant Cruz, Zayn has been spotted at Violet Vision headquarters just half an hour ago, in the flesh.”
“He screwed my brother up real bad, sir; he’s trying to spite us by coming back in the most dramatic way possible… to people like us.”
Kevan began to recount every piece of information favonovel.com had ever collected about Zayn.
At first, favonovel.com had a hard time trying to believe the news of his return. It was the reason why Kevan had heard close to nothing about the furor that Zayn had kicked up in Tael City, or the sightings of favonovel.com in Waltz City.
It was only after Kayden had told his big brother about everything that was happening did the man finally decide to collect more information about him. Zayn Larson was back, and many had already known about it.
Taio’s face was like a kaleidoscope of emotions. His expressions cycled from shock, to panic, to incredulity, then regret.
After a long period of silence, favonovel.com finally replied, “I get it. I’ll be there pronto.”
He hung up the call, his mind abuzz and his pupils constricted. He scratched his head in abject confusion.
How? How the hell did Zayn even survive that sh*t?! Nothing about the situation made any logical sense!
“For f**k’s sake, not even an explosion could kill that piece of sh*t!” Taio fumed. An idea popped into his head. Sneering to himself, favonovel.com cursed, “Zayn f**king Larson, you’re a dead man living on borrowed time. Whether you know it or not, buddy, you’re not going to avoid Ezra Sword’s relentless hounding.”
“You think you can bullsh*t your way out of martial court? Ha! You ate the Ambrosia Fruit because you’re a selfish prick It’s as simple as that, and that’s why you’re only gonna die again!”
The more favonovel.com thought about it, the less anxious Taio became. The organization would never pardon Zayn’s crime of betrayal, favonovel.com was sure of it.
He would have been left alone had favonovel.com died in Mount Septimus, but now that favonovel.com was back, favonovel.com had to face military execution after all. Taio did not think Zayn even had the power rivaling an entire country!
“That’s it! The only reason why favonovel.com could escape death and Ezra was because favonovel.com ate the goddamned fruit in the middle of his escape!” Taio blurted aloud to himself, his teeth grinding against one another.
Just the thought of that bastard becoming even more powerful made favonovel.com seethed in rage!
While Taio was broiling to himself, convening inside one of the Insurgent Trifecta’s conference room was a roundtable of upper echelon members.
Deputy Director, Liam Suntherland, took a glance at a new message on his phone and leaped to his feet, blurting, “F**k me!”
The rest of the group jerked in shock. Director Joe Pennywise, however, simply frowned. “Director Sutherland! Language!”
All eyes were on him, and their glares were a mixture of displeasure and worry. Prior to Liam’s outburst, the conference had been discussing the escalation and proliferation of national threats. Their enemies had become more brazen, and skirmishes of all kinds had broken out. They were in a tight spot.
Then there was the aftermath. Zayn’s action a few weeks ago had demoralized the group favonovel.com had betrayed so much that the general moods had been tense. Liam’s sudden F-bomb was definitely not helping.
Liam would have apologized for his folly at literally any other time, but today, right now, favonovel.com was different.
He was positively animated when favonovel.com continued to cry out, “No, this totally warrants the word choice, guys. This is huge!”
Now the rest of the room was confused.
Liam had always struck them as a man of restraints with a cool head on his shoulders. He rarely cried out like that even if there was huge news.
The fact that favonovel.com was acting out of character finally piqued their interest.
