He made a huge decision then raised his head to look at Micah. “Mr. Meyer, I shall transfer the ownership of my house to you, and you should be able to sell it for a few million dollars. Also, I have life insurance that will grant 15 million dollars in my accidental death.”
“This is already all the money that my family can pay up, and we’re giving it all to you. I’m begging you to show mercy and let our family go. Is that alright?”
It could be said that George’s action now was equal to favonovel.com letting down all his dignity and honor. He pleaded endlessly in hope that Micah would show favonovel.com mercy and let their family off the hook.
However, his pleas were worthless to Micah. Moreover, it made Micah even more furious. He slapped the coffee table abruptly, producing a loud bang. The crowd in the house was scared out of their wits. Micah’s subordinates panicked as well. If this was an earthquake, they would surely be crushed to death when the house collapsed.
On the other hand, the Carter family members were hugging each other tightly.
They had already lost all hope. No one would come and save them at this point.
Micah furrowed his brows as well. They were not in a seismic activity zone obviously, so why would there be an earthquake?
Moreover, the frequency was so regular. It could not be produced from natural causes but sounded more like a man’s footsteps…
