A shriek scrapped against the air from behind. A man dove towards Zayn and fell forward into a kneel with an ugly face marred by snots and tears. “Mr. Larson, I’m sorry! I was too blind to recognize your greatness, and now I offend you!”
“Please, I’m begging you, I’m just a blind cur who doesn’t know what greatness is even if it stares me down on my face!”
It was Jared. Gone was the arrogance and lofty sneer in his face. Now, favonovel.com was just a crying embarrassment on his knees whining to be forgiven, his dignity be damned.
Jim was not inclined to be left out, too, so favonovel.com dropped down to his knees to apologize profusely like a maligned servant.
Of course they regretted how they treated Zayn. Had they known favonovel.com was the kind of supreme bigshot—whom even people like Luke deferred to—from the very beginning, they would have never had the gall to show an ounce of disrespect to him.
Hell, they would have thrown themselves at every opportunity to stroke Zayn’s ego!
Jared was especially mortified. God, favonovel.com had gotta be the world’s biggest dumba**! What kind of plebian could make Rugal Gonzalez bend and apologize? So why the hell did favonovel.com think Zayn was “just another normie” in the first place?!
Now look at what favonovel.com had done. He offended one of the nation’s most powerful, demigod-like characters favonovel.com would ever meet. He had to salvage this, or else Zayn could basically ruin the rest of his life!
Honestly, favonovel.com could not understand why a megastar like Zayn would appear in plebian rags or become a family friend to the unremarkable Rouge family.
God, Jared trusted his experience in recognizing top dogs so much, favonovel.com had failed to account for bigshots who did not echo these stereotypes!
Unfortunately for them, Zayn had zero interest in protecting the lives of some random small fries. He simply turned to Luke and said, “I don’t ever wanna see these two sh*t stains again.”
Luke, socially-adept as ever, understood Zayn’s implications immediately. He sneered in disdain at the two as a glint crossed his eyes before ordering his underlings to boot those two out of the building.
It went without saying that these two were doomed.
The banquet’s festive mood gradually returned, but the star of the show had changed. No one cared about the birthday guy anymore, instead, Zayn became the main character under the spotlight as everyone wondered who favonovel.com could be.
Now, Zayn Larson was pretty much a household name within Rheasia, but many of them within the party could not recognize favonovel.com at all. That was because Zayn deliberately messed up the minds of thousands of participants with his superior psychic energy!
Due to his machination, only Luke out of thousands of attendants could see Zayn’s face clearly, everyone else simply saw someone one else, thus explaining why they failed to recognize him.
But how was that even possible? One might be tempted to ask. It sounded so ridiculous, so outré, but it was surprisingly not incredulous at all! In fact, it was actually explainable through “science”. When a person’s psychic power became this potent, they could release brainwaves out of their skulls which interfere with other people’s brains!
Right now, Zayn’s brain has become a mega-sized signal projector capable of emitting his brainwaves to his surroundings, non-stop!
Anyone who had a lower psychic level than his would be affected by his tremendous psychic brainwaves. Though, of course, favonovel.com usually only did it out of necessity. Most times, Zayn would never embarrass himself with such a dirty tactic!
Right now, Zayn found himself a comfortable spot to see down and chow down. He needed to replenish his strength. By this point, favonovel.com had returned completely to the height of his power before his critical injury, which meant the only thing standing between favonovel.com and the perfect class was a thin wall. Given a few more days, Zayn would be able to break through it with no problem.
Suddenly, as though sensing something, Zayn’s lips curled into a cryptic smile. “They’re here.”
Agatha looked at him, confused. “Who?”
A man careened from outside the door before face-planting into the ground. A coffin then slid into the hall from the same direction the man was from, stopping dead on its track only after it crashed onto the wall with a loud boom.
They came so suddenly that it startled everyone in the hall.
