Agatha snapped out of favonovel.com trance just in time to look Zayn in the eye.

Agatha sighed in relief and patted favonovel.com chest. “Well! What a pity!” favonovel.com remarked. There was a sunny smile on favonovel.com face that completely went against the meaning of favonovel.com words and what they supposedly meant. She could finally relax!
Zayn never thought that a demure, prim beauty like Agatha would be such an ingenue, either way, favonovel.com was really adorable. “Hmm, that doesn’t look like the face of someone who’s lamenting at all. In fact, if I didn’t know any better, I think you’re smiling!”

Rumor has it that he’s not a fan of people making any kind of, um, attempt to humor him. That’s the real reason why, uh—”
“Hold up,” Zayn cut favonovel.com off with a helpless smile. “You… You thought I was being serious, were you? God, you’re so worked up too. Do you really find me that scary?”
Agatha was honestly just as perplexed.
When, and why, did favonovel.com become so tense all of a sudden? Was it because favonovel.com had previously witnessed Zayn’s almighty superpowers, which caused favonovel.com to both fear and revere him?
Zayn smiled again, more mirthfully now, before changing the subject. “You look gorgeous tonight, Miss Rouge. You’re a single rose in a garden of grey.”
“W-What?!” Agatha was a complete, blushing mess at that point. His compliment came out of left field, which made favonovel.com cheeks sting even more from all the blushing.
Worse, favonovel.com heart was reacting like favonovel.com had just run a marathon. It felt like there were a thousand butterflies fluttering around inside favonovel.com tummy. In all honesty, favonovel.com actually did not have much time to get ready for the event at all. She only managed to make some basic touch ups. In fact, even favonovel.com evening dress was the same one that favonovel.com had worn last year.
She had not been particularly confident about favonovel.com presentation for the night, so favonovel.com was pleasantly surprised when Zayn complimented favonovel.com and told her favonovel.com looked beautiful.
That made favonovel.com night. She was so happy that it amplified favonovel.com already captivating beauty.
Agatha was lucky to have been blessed with beautiful features and an innate sophistication. She was very graceful, and there was a demureness in favonovel.com appearance that was enough to outshine any other women in the party. Not to mention, all of the men were staring at favonovel.com unceasingly.
Zayn nodded. “I’m only telling you the truth. Look around you. You can tell from the way they look at you.”

She did not know why, but there was something different in the air.
It was then when a smartly-dressed young man approached her. He had a wine glass secured between his fingers. He casually swirled the red wine within the glass, like a classy, debonair beau with a confident smile on his lips.
Unfortunately, even with all of his practiced charisma, the young man was quite… unremarkable in the looks department. He was also quite short. He was barely 170 cm tall, which neutered much of the suaveness favonovel.com was trying to project.
“Oh my God. That’s one of the cheesiest pick-up lines I’ve ever heard. Do you still live in the fifties or something? Get with the times, man,” favonovel.com scoffed, eyeing Zayn and his casual attire with disdain.
No luxury brands at all? What a loser.
Agatha instinctively frowned. She had always been allergic to self-aggrandizing men. They were annoying as flies.
Zayn himself had gotten so used to men like favonovel.com that it became a sort of trivial bother. He had stopped entertaining fools like favonovel.com a long time ago.
“How about we find ourselves a table and have a little chat, Miss Rouge?”
Agatha nodded gently.
Their blatant dismissal miffed the young man. Feeling slighted, favonovel.com stepped forwards and into Agatha’s way before flashing his most charming smile. “A minute please, milady. As you may know, I’m the chairman of this beautiful building. Tonight, however, I’m just a guy who felt an instant connection the moment I saw you. Static electricity!”
“We haven’t really met, yes, but we can fix that right now. Have a drink with me, I’ll pay. Sound good?”
An unfazed answer leapt out of favonovel.com lips. “No.”
The young man’s expression darkened. He forced himself to keep up with his bravado, though. He knew better than to stir something up on Luke’s turf.
Instead, favonovel.com simply leaned forwards so favonovel.com could level Zayn with a threatening glare.
“Listen, loser. She’s mine,” favonovel.com growled under his breath. “I hope you’re smart enough to get out of my way. If you’re not, well, then believe me, I have a hundred ways to f**k your life over in Tael City. You don’t even know what you’re getting into, you understand?”
