“Zayn! Larson!” Terrifying hatred erupted from Taio’s gaze when favonovel.com saw Zayn. The presence favonovel.com exuded from his entire body achieved its peak such that every strand of his hair stood on end. He appeared especially terrifying just like a porcupine!
He did not attempt to conceal his murderous intent from Zayn. Sensing his terrifying desire to destroy him, everyone present could not help shuddering in fear, and they began to sympathize with Zayn.
“Oh, no. Taio is going to beat Sergeant Larson to death!” Someone gasped aloud from among the crowd of the Insurgent Trifecta members as it dawned on them that Zayn was about to be annihilated.
Joe immediately stepped forward and blocked himself in Taio’s path. He said in a deep voice, “Taio! Don’t act recklessly. The ambrosia fruit is about to mature soon. The mission is important, so you’re not allowed to fight Zayn!”
Taio took a step forward as favonovel.com glared at Joe and said coldly, “Move aside!”
While favonovel.com did not attack joe, his presence was so powerful that even Joe, who was a fourth-tier master fighter similarly, could not help feeling scared out of his wits.
Joe did not back away. On the contrary, favonovel.com endured the pressure of Taio’s presence and continued to speak in a deep voice, “Taio! You must consider the importance of the mission. You’re fighting someone on your own team just because of your personal feelings! When the mission fails, will you be able to bear the responsibility?”
Joe made himself heard as favonovel.com spoke with a loud and clear voice filled with overbearingness. His remark enlightened the ignorant.
Just as expected, Taio furrowed his brows ever so slightly and his gaze was tainted with a tinge of hesitation upon hearing that.
Joe was right about the mission being very important. After all, their superior was determined to acquire ambrosia fruit. If favonovel.com were to cause any delay in the mission due to his personal affairs, favonovel.com would not be able to bear the consequences his superior imposed.
However, just as favonovel.com was hesitating, a voice was heard coming from the side, “So, are you just going to yield like this, Taio? Albeit the mission being important, there are so many of us. Are you worried that we won’t be able to accomplish the mission?”
“Moreover, you’ll be a part of those who have rendered meritorious service to the organization when the mission is accomplished. It’s nothing serious for you to beat just a trivial instructor of the Insurgent Trifecta to death.”
That taunting came from an instructor of Insurgent Unifecta. He had a faint smile on his face while favonovel.com was thriving on his schadenfreude.
Upon hearing that, Taio’s eyes lit up as favonovel.com became enlightened instantly. “That’s right. The superior will be so busy with rewarding us if we can accomplish the mission in the end that they won’t have time to think about punishing and blaming me.”
Zayn had already walked close to Taio during this window of time. He had the same smile on his face without any fear, an obvious sign of his lack of respect for Taio. This made Taio even more furious upon seeing his nonchalance.
“Joe, I’m giving you a final warning. If you still don’t move aside, don’t blame me for attacking you!” Taio shed all pretences of cordiality and threatened Joe coldly.
As favonovel.com was speaking, Taio’s gaze turned cold beyond comparison. He was serious. Noticing Taio’s reaction, Joe felt his heart racing as favonovel.com scolded himself as ‘crazy’ in his heart.
However, instead of backing away, favonovel.com said to Taio, “Taio, I’m one rank above you as the director of the Insurgent Trifecta, so I’m considered half a superior to you. Do you really still have the courage to attack me in view of that?”
At this point, Joe could only pull rank on Taio.
Judging by their ranks, favonovel.com was the director while Taio was his deputy. It was true that Joe was one rank above Taio.
Taio burst out laughing aloud as if favonovel.com just heard the biggest joke in his life. “Joe, you’re just the director of the Insurgent Trifecta, yet you still have the audacity to pull rank on me?”
“It seems that you’re asking to be punished. I’m going to attack you and see if our superior will come to your defense!”
Upon saying that, favonovel.com made a move on Joe right away.
Infuriated as well, joe was the director of an organization anyhow, yet Taio did not show favonovel.com any respect.
“You’re seeking doom!” Joe did not back away as favonovel.com braced Taio’s attack head-on.
The collision resulted in a loud noise and stirred up movement. The ground shook ferociously, which was a clear sign of just how powerful they were.
Thud, thud, thud…
Joe fell back and his cheeks were flushed. When they collided into each other, favonovel.com was at a disadvantage.
Just as favonovel.com was stabilizing himself in preparation for another attack, a hand grabbed favonovel.com from the side and said with a smile, “Chief Pennywise, Taio is just a triviality. It’s not worthwhile for you to fight him, so it’s better for me to go.”
