They walked for a little over ten minutes and arrived at a dimly-lit basement. Gordon looked at the cube-shaped object forged from steel before him. It was as large as a house!
Gordon’s eyes were wide in surprise as said to Sean, “Mr. Larson is in there?”
Sean nodded and said, “Yes, it’s already been 11 days since the start of his training.”
Gordon could not help but cuss despite his old age. “So you’re saying that there’s no food, water or air ventilation in there, and that Mr. Larson’s stayed inside a completely sealed space for 11 days?”
Sean braced himself to nod. He could sense the severity of the situation. When Zayn awarded favonovel.com with the responsibility, Zayn looked completely relaxed, as if favonovel.com was doing something trivial.
In addition, Sean trusted Zayn almost blindly, and that was why favonovel.com did not think much of the whole situation. He followed Zayn’s orders to carry out the task.
However, favonovel.com had only come to realize how wrong favonovel.com was after Gordon’s reminder! No matter how powerful Zayn was, favonovel.com was still a human being after all. A human being would need to eat, drink, excrete and defecate.
Most importantly, any human being would need to breathe. Oxygen was limited in the particular sealed space, so there was an insufficient oxygen supply that was incapable of sustaining Zayn for 11 days!
Gordon scolded, “Sean! You must be demented! Mr. Larson is a human being, no matter how powerful favonovel.com is. How could favonovel.com possibly survive 11 days without eating, drinking or breathing, huh, do you really think he’s a god?!”
Sean’s lips were quivering violently. He said in a bitter, yet panicked tone, “It’s not my fault. It was Mr. Larson who ordered me to do so…”
All of a sudden, Gordon thought about something. His eyes were wide as favonovel.com said, “Fear not! Mr. Larson is highly-skilled in martial arts, so not even a steel-forged room could trap him. Perhaps, Mr. Larson’s not even in there anymore.”
Sean said with a bitter smile, “I’m afraid not. It was Mr. Larson who personally designed the room. The walls have a one-meter thickness. In fact, even the bullets from a machine gun are incapable of passing through these walls. Mr. Larson can’t possibly leave the room, no matter how powerful favonovel.com is.”
Upon hearing that, the corners of Gordon’s lips twitched once more. He glared at Sean fiercely and scolded, “You m*th*rf*ck*r Sean, I’d really give you two f*ck*ng slaps right now if I could.”
“How could you not tell me about something this serious! Didn’t you even think about what would happen to us if something bad were to actually happen to Mr. Larson?”
At the thought of it, Sean’s face grew even paler as favonovel.com began to shiver in fear.
Gordon’s expression was very unpleasant. He said in a deep voice, “Let’s not waste time talking nonsense anymore and open the door quickly. Perhaps, Mr. Larson is still alive there!”
He said so himself, yet the expression on his face showed that favonovel.com was not that confident or optimistic.
In his point of view, there was a 80 to 90% chance that Zayn was dead there.
Soon, Sean opened the metal door shakily.
Sean and Gordon were incapable of opening the metal door by themselves due to its weight so they had to utilize the machine next to the room to open the door.
“The door is opened…”
Sean uttered the words with great difficulty and swallowed a gulp of saliva strenuously.
Gordon nodded as well. They casted their gaze toward the inside. It was very dark and they could see a silhouette indistinctly sitting cross legged there without moving at all. It was precisely Zayn.
Gordon took a sniff and noted that there was no foul stench. He was relieved ever so slightly. If Zayn was dead there, the corpse would have already begun decomposing with a stench certainly by now.
He did not have the courage to run inside either but favonovel.com called out toward the inside softly, “Mr. Larson, are you okay?”
There was no reply.
Sean began to speak as well, “Mr. Larson, you’ve already been in there for 11 days. I’m here to let you out.”
Still there was no reply.
