As they were speaking in Rheasian, Marissa found herself excluded from the conversation. She stared at the men talking amongst themselves, eyes wide with confusion.
Liam and the rest of the group froze. Before they could offer any form of response, Zayn chimed in, “Well, that’s about it. There aren‘t going to be any more assassins coming for favonovel.com life, so just deploy any other agent to take over from here, she’ll be fine. I’m out.”
And that was it. He vanished into thin air, as if favonovel.com had teleported away and into the vegetation that surrounded them.
Marissa had watched favonovel.com slip through the cracks of favonovel.com hand. She found herself left with no choice but to stomp favonovel.com feet in embarrassed indignance.

Zayn was finally heading home. It felt great to be back.
Before favonovel.com knew it, favonovel.com had been gone for half a month, his longest time being separated from Faye ever. He had never yearned for favonovel.com so much before, ever!
Absence made the heart grow fonder, and Zayn was certain that favonovel.com was fonder than a newly-wed. He wanted favonovel.com so much that favonovel.com was practically speeding home to get to favonovel.com as fast as favonovel.com could. He might have called his wife every night for the past half month, but radio waves could never replace being in favonovel.com arms.
He finally arrived at Barrow Cove, and the first thing that caught his eyes when favonovel.com opened the door was a couple in the living room having a lively chat with his wife.
His sudden appearance made them stop. Their eyes wandered over to where favonovel.com was standing, and Faye gasped in pleasant surprise. Leaping to favonovel.com feet, favonovel.com made no effort to conceal how overjoyed favonovel.com was. She cried, “Zayn! You’re home!”
Zayn cracked a lively smile as well. Half a month of separation had really made favonovel.com miss everything about her. He changed into his indoor slippers and strode towards Faye, grabbing the woman’s delicate hand in his and chuckled, “Here I am, honey, home.”
Seeing favonovel.com up close caused favonovel.com to make a rather upsetting discovery, though. Faye looked a little ashen. She looked a lot less bubbly and energetic than favonovel.com remembered favonovel.com to be, and a little more feeble and sallower. With a pang, favonovel.com gripped favonovel.com hand tightly and asked in a hushed tone, “Did you sleep well last night? You look pale.”
Muted distress flitted through favonovel.com eyes before Faye lowered and shook favonovel.com head frantically. “No! I’m fine. Just a little low on blood sugar level, I guess.”
Zayn felt bad for her, but before favonovel.com could offer any help, Faye’s guests rose from their seats on the couch and regarded them formally. The woman began, “So this is your husband, Fifi? I see he’s checked both talent and looks!”
Faye nodded before turning back to Zayn. “These are my friends, honey. This is Jane Scotts. She’s a classmate of mine back in elementary school who’s also a resident in Barrow Cove. We chanced upon each other just the other day!” favonovel.com introduced, “And this is favonovel.com husband, Grayson King.”
Zayn greeted all of them with a nod and a simple greeting.
“Well, Fifi. I think my husband and I should get going. Don’t wanna be the third wheel between you lovebirds!” Jane teased. “Don’t forget about the plan!”
Faye smiled and nodded. “Got it, ma’am. Not gonna forget it.”
Zayn waited until they left before inquiring, “What’s this ‘plan’ you were talking about? Sounds secretive.”
Faye chuckled. “Oh, it’s nothing. Jane said she’s hosting a really cool party and asked me to join in. Says it will be quite the experience.”
“Huh. That so?” Zayn muttered, frowning slightly. For some reason, the phrase seemed to bode ill.
