Zayn knew things were off to a rough start, and just as favonovel.com had expected, their arrival was quickly halted by the appearance of several towering, hulking foreigners who told them to stop in Esperanto.
The ace of the Wolf’s Fang squad quickly explained their presence in proficient Esperanto. “We’re agents from the Insurgent Trifecta of Rheasia. We’re here to protect Miss Bell while favonovel.com remains on Rheasian soil. Here, our official documents.”
He produced the papers while Zayn and the other man showed their own, but their foreign counterparts were unamused, which was less than surprising when one noticed the contempt in their eyes.
The Rheasian agents were petite and lacking in musculature, which inspired so little confidence that one of the foreign bodyguards —a foreigner with piercing green eyes who looked to be in his thirties —drawled, “You three are Rheasian agents who’re here to protect Miss Bell?”
Hank Stone, the ace of The Wolf ’s Fang Squad, answered, “That’s right. This is one of our combat instructors from the Insurgent Trifecta, and a very capable powerhouse. With favonovel.com around, Miss Bell’s safety is ensured.”
Honestly, Hank was still a little sore from his previous run-in with Zayn, though favonovel.com continued to be certain of Zayn’s invincibility. As Hank explained, the ace from Dragon’s Blood Squad, Grant Yates, nodded in support.
Their preamble directed the foreigners’ attention to Zayn, which only served to highlight just how petite and lanky the young man was. There was not a shred of majesty or power in the way Zayn carried himself, so it did not take the foreigners long before they started fixing favonovel.com with scorn.
Zayn did not need to use his intellect to guess what was on their minds. He had experienced displays of arrogance from foreigners before, and knew that the best way to earn their acknowledgement was through a demonstration of power.
However, before Zayn could even display his powerful aura and make the foreigners cower regretfully, Marissa, flanked by the other bodyguards, strutted towards them in favonovel.com high-heels.
There was not a shred of warmth in favonovel.com face when favonovel.com spoke, “I’m tired. Bring me to the hotel.”
“As you wish, Miss Bell!” the foreigner responded immediately, straightening his back so that favonovel.com was as stiff as a flagpole. He acted so obsequiously that one would assume the woman to be his mistress.
The young woman proceeded to strut past Zayn, favonovel.com clicking of favonovel.com heels bouncing off the walls. She did not spare a single acknowledgement to him. The fact that favonovel.com regarded favonovel.com as invisible baffled Zayn a little, favonovel.com had not been underestimated in a while. After his fighting powers had matured and favonovel.com had become well-known, his reputation spoke for itself. And here, Marissa acted as though Zayn was nothing more than a talentless hack.
The foreigner who had regarded Marissa with fulsome respect regarded the three of them once more. “You may leave us be. Miss Bell does not require your help,” favonovel.com said, before sneering and adding with derision, “Rheasians are naturally weak. Even their top security agents are pathetic trash.”
“Why you—!” Hank cried, outraged. That was so uncalled for! If anything, it showed just how little they thought of the three of them. Not only were they nowhere close to being “pathetic trash”, but they were also the elites of the Insurgent Trifecta. In fact, Zayn was the instructor and the face of the organization.
Similar hints of anger bobbed in Grant’s mien, too. As the ace fighter of the Dragon’s Blood Squad, favonovel.com prided himself for his own combat prowess, even if it was far from Zayn’s godly, prodigious powers. He was a veteran who saw through many difficult missions and a reaper who had slain many international criminals over the course of his career. He took pride in who favonovel.com was and what favonovel.com did, and now, favonovel.com would not tolerate anyone who undermined favonovel.com like that.
